Fimo Cane Package From China

After waiting for a little less than two weeks I finally received my package.  I bought 100 Fimo Canes + a blade for only $6.00 and that was plus shipping and handling.  It was a great deal!  It has 100 different designs so I was happy that I didn't get any duplicates.  The only upsetting thing that I found was that there was a single very funny looking cane.  I didn't know what it was supposed to be because it looked like part of it was missing.  Other than that I was happy with my overall buy.
 (The original packaging)
(Flowers and Fruit canes)

(Butterfly and other random canes)

If you're wondering why I haven't put the fimo nail art on my nails yet, its because I just did my nails.  I did my nails in the morning and didn't check the mail until about 8:00 that night.  However, I am thinking of a nail design for my newly bought fimo canes and I can't wait to use them!

Soot Ball/ Sprites Nail Art

Thumbs up if you like Spirited Away!

I swear every time I get bored I end up doing something to my nails.  My nails were inspired by Spirited Away.  After watching the cartoon I decided I wanted to do something with my nails and this is what I came up with.
It was a very simple pink or yellow base color with white stripes going down and across the nail.  I then dotted on the soot balls with a black varnish and white varnish for their eyes.  I went back in with the black varnish for their pupils and went over everything with a top coat.  It was a very simple, easy, and cute nail design especially if you love Spirited Away.

Items I Regret Buying

(picture of all the things I regret buying)

#1 Revitalizing Pomegranate Green Tea Shampoo & Conditioner
My top most regretful buy would be the pomegranate green tea shampoo and conditioner by Organix.  This stuff seriously killed not only my hair but also my husbands hair.  The packaging was cute and the smell of the product was nice too so we ended up buying this instead of our normal shampoo and conditioner thinking it would do what it said on the bottle.

"Revitalize your senses with sensual and exotic antioxidant rich organic pomegranate extracts and green tea which target dry and brittle hair while awakening follicles to create a clean and rejuvenating experience, adding a brilliant and luminescent shine."

However, after about a day of using this product my head started itching.  After two or three days my hair started to look dry, dull, dead, and frizzier than normal.  After about a week my head started flaking and my head began to scab up from all the scratching and itchiness.  As soon as I noticed the scabs I went to the store and bought our regular shampoo and conditioner that we normally use.  It took a day or two for my head to stop itching and flaking, about a whole week and a half for my scabs to heal, and about a month for my hair to get back to its original state.  I was so upset with this product I'm amazed I didn't throw it in the trash.  I ended up throwing it under the bathroom sink and forgetting about it until I went down there looking for our Drano Gel for the kitchen sink.

#2 Revlon ColorStay Liquid Liner in Blackest Black
When they said liquid I didn't think they really meant liquid as in water.  The consistency of the liquid liner is basically like water, runny!  It's color is supposed to be blackest black but it's not even black.  Its more of a runny, water like gray.  The liquid liner is so runny that it washes away my eyeshadow where ever I run the eye liner.

#3 Revlon Grow Luscious By Fabulash
I bought this item because I have really short eye lashes.  I hated this product after about the first use because for one the brush sucks.  I can't even get the brush close to my eyes basically without poking my eyes out.  Secondly the product totally doesn't even make your lashes grow when it says "GROW" luscious.  For the third thing the consistency of the mascara is very dry and clumpy.  Every time I manage to put the mascara on it dries out and starts to flak off and fly into my eyes.  My eyes end up getting so irritated that I just end up washing off all my makeup and end up looking like I have pink eye.  It's a horrible product and because of my history with crappy Revlon products I just completely stopped buying all Revlon products.

#4 Waterproof LashGrip Eyelash Adhesive
This product just sucks in general.  It says on the packaging that it's "waterproof."  It's not even close to being water resistant and even less waterproof.  It also says it's supposed to dry "clear" which it also doesn't do.  It ends up looking an off white color and makes you look like you got something on your eyes.  The formula for the adhesive is so weak my eyelashes tend to droop and make my eyes look really funky.  I don't use this adhesive anymore and neither will I ever buy it again.

Palmer's CoCoa Butter Formula Massage Lotion for Stretch Marks

Palmer's CoCoa  Butter Formula Massage Lotion ROCKS!  I bought this when I was about four months into my pregnancy.  On the bottle it says to use in a circular motion and massage into areas prone to stretch marks morning and evening.  Most of the time I forget to use the lotion even though it's in the bathroom.  I only use it maybe once or twice a week and when I do use it I only put it on in the morning and forget to put it on in the evening.

Though I seldom use the lotion I can still see a dramatic change in the coloring of my stretch marks after I take a shower when I do use it.  Most of my first stretch marks that began appearing during my fourth month into pregnancy are almost transparent like they were never there.  My stretch marks are mainly around my thighs, behind my knee caps, and two little blotches on my sides.  Just recently I scratched under my belly with some fake nails and thanks to that I'm having little stretch marks under my belly now.  Because of the fake nails incident I started using the lotion under my belly.  They're still there but they get lighter and lighter every time I use the lotion.

The only bad thing about the lotion is the after feeling.  It has sticky after feel.  The closest thing I can think of to the feeling of the lotion is a hot humid day that makes you sweaty and sticky.  I think that's why I don't use it at night because I can feel it on my body and I can't fall asleep.  Other than the sticky after feeling it works wonders.  If you do use this I would suggest putting it on only during the day.  However, if you do use it at night you might want to put something in between the areas you put the lotion on so you don't feel the stickiness or feel like your skins stuck together.

27 Weeks Pregnant

They say that at twenty seven weeks your baby can suck his fingers and hiccup.  He can open and close his eyes and wake up at regular intervals and you begin to have leg cramps as your uterus grows.  All I have to say is that it's all true, which sucks but is true.

The first time I felt him hiccup I was kind of disturbed.  I wasn't sure what it was or if there was something wrong.  I ended up jumping on the internet and found out it was just my baby hiccuping.  I giggled at myself thinking how stupid it was of me to freak out.  But I guess it never hurts to be on the safe side.  =)

Baby definitely wakes up at certain intervals.  In my earlier months he stayed up kicking during the day and stayed still at night most of the time.  Now he's not very active during the day but kicks up a storm starting right around six or seven.  I can feel him moving across my belly so I end up staying up most of the night with my hand over my belly feeling his movements.  It's a really funky but yet a cool feeling when I see and feel him moving across my belly.

The worse thing people think about being pregnant would be waking up three to four times in the middle of the night just to use the bathroom.  However, going to the bathroom isn't even half as bad as getting leg cramps during the night or having your feet swell up to the size of a pumpkin.  Leg cramps are common because of the pressure from the uterus on your blood vessels but its not that bad if you know how to handle leg cramps.  I've only had one or two since my pregnancy so I don't mind it but what I hate more than anything is the swelling in my feet.  The swelling of your feet is also due to the pressure from the growing uterus and your feet and ankles swell up.  The only thing I've been able to do to not have my feet swell so bad is lay on my sides which takes some pressure off my veins.

Even though being pregnant is a pain I would never trade it for anything in the world.  Being pregnant is a gift and I don't intend to waste all my time being upset about how my body's reacting to my growing baby.  All I can do is be happy that he's almost here and I'm going to be able to hold him soon.  I can't wait! =)

Gone Fishing

Thumbs up for people who love fishing! =)

My husband and a few of his work buddies went fishing yesterday after work.  We didn't get that many mainly because we got there kind of late and his work buddies were loud and scared away all the fishes.  We had to run all over town buying stuff so that Phat could go fishing.

Wal-Mart:
sunscreen, Styrofoam cooler (for fishes), Styrofoam minnow bucket, fishing license
$30.00

Conoco Gas Station:
Crappie Minnows
$3.00

Spending time with your loved ones...PRICELESS...

 At the Arkansas River

Lao's First Catch is a White Bass

White Bass, Blue Catfish, Flathead Catfish, and a Channel Catfish

We didn't get back home until 1:00 AM.  By the time we got done showering and got ready for bed it was already 2:00 AM.  Even though I didn't fish I still had fun watching.

Office Appointment + Labs

Woke up Thursday thinking that the appointment was going to be a normal one.  Did the normal things that I always do before an appointment.  Wake up, eat breakfast, and drink lots of water.  Should of known something was going to be different.  I started feeling sick from the car ride which is not normal.  My feet have been swelling to the size of a melon, my tummies been cramping for ages, and I'm a lot more aggravated than I usually am.  Yay for being pregnant.

I signed in at about 9:10 when my appointments 9:15.  My husband and I sat in the waiting room for almost an hour watching SuperNatural.  When we got called in they did the normal weight and blood pressure measurements.  I've gained so much weight since the beginning of my pregnancy.  Started at 130ish...now I'm like 155.  But yeah like normal went to one of the rooms, urinate into a cup, and wait for the doctor.

We sat in almost complete silence with only the ruffle of pages coming from the magazine that was being flipped through by my husband.  The sudden opening of the door almost made me jump as my doctor walked in.  She did the normal get on the computer, check baby's heartbeat with the fetal Doppler, and ask me if I had any questions.

I swear I don't ever want to be pregnant in the summer ever again.  I asked about the swelling of my feet.  My doctor giggled and said that the swellings only going to get worse.  I asked about the cramps and she said it could be from an infection, which she would check on or that I'm not having enough bowel movements, or a combination of things.  So my appointment ended in sadness as my level of being uncomfortable grows.  But I'd still do anything for my baby!  =)

My lab was a glucose screening.  I'm 27 weeks so I guess its normal since most glucose screenings are usually between 24-28 weeks.  I don't know my results yet but all I know is that I HATE NEEDLES!  That  was the wrap of one of my most horrible days at the clinic.  My husband and I ended up coming back home and he went to work just in time for their second break.  It's not as horrible as I said it was.  It was actually a decent day just getting to hear and thinking about hearing my baby's hear beat.  It wows me a every time.  =)
