REVIEW: Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation

Hey, guys so if you watched my stay matte voxbox unboxing then you probably know that I was sent this from Influenster a few weeks ago and I have been trying it out. I initially said that the shade was a little light but after a few uses I noticed it was actually not too bad. A few more weeks in to fall/winter and it will be the perfect shade match.

On the card that came along with the foundation, Rimmel claims the foundation to be "a breakthrough feather light, oil free formula with an airy mousse texture that's comfortable on your skin, never heavy or greasy. Your new beauty staple that delivers all day shine control and blends flawlessly for a natural looking matte finish, all while minimizing the appearance of pores."
You can't really tell from the swatch but the foundation really is an airy mousse texture. This is about a penny size amount and even then it was too much product for one application. I didn't even use all of this to cover my face. I applied this with my beauty blender so it gave me a light to medium coverage. I am pretty sure if you just slapped this on with a regular foundation brush or stipple brush and buff this in it could be a medium to full coverage foundation. I did notice that while using the beauty blender I could slightly build up the coverage in problem areas without it looking cake-y. For example I built up and covered around my chin where I've been having little break outs here and there and the foundation covered it up nicely.
I'm not person who wears foundation on a daily basis so I did find that when I applied this all over my face it did feel kind of heavy and a little bit greasy. However, when I only applied it like how I would normally apply my foundation just around problem areas, around my nose, and under my eyes it didn't feel greasy or heavy and it was actually pretty comfortable. I have bigger pores right next to my nose and I noticed that with using this foundation it covered the pores nicely but it didn't do as great for the pores on my nose.

The wear time of this foundation isn't the longest but also not the shortest. It did make it though the day which for most people would be an 8 hour work day. So I think this would be a decent foundation for oily skin but not so much for dry skin. Since it's been getting chilly my skins been acting up and getting really dry. I noticed that on some days this foundation did cling to and accentuate the dryness of my skin. For my combination ladies I would recommend a good primer so that the foundation doesn't cling on to your dry patches.

That pretty much wraps up my review for this foundation. If you would like a review of anything from my recent hauls then comment and I will add it to my to do list. Be on the look out as I might end up doing a video and posting it on my youtube instead of blogging about it on here. Thanks for checking my blog and I'll talk to you guys next time.

Luster NOW! Instant Whitening Toothpaste

I have a review for you guys today! It is on the Luster Now! Instant whitening toothpaste in the flavor happy mint that I received earlier last month. I know I originally said in my influenster unboxing video that I probably wasn't going to try this out but I had no choice as I couldn't get my husband to try it out in my place.
The two biggest claims on this product is that it is "instant whitening" and "formulated for daily use." My honest opinion for the "instant whitening" claim is that it is NOT true. Or at least it wasn't for me. However, it did whiten my teeth over a period of about a month. It did take a couple of days for me to notice but it slowly and gradually did whiten my teeth. I did on the other hand notice that since I began using this whitening product my teeth became more easily stained. This claim is not as great as the packaging makes it out to be but because of this it brings us to the topic of it being formulated for daily use.
I have rather sensitive teeth after getting my wisdom teeth pulled earlier this year. I noticed that with using this whitening product my teeth never once became more sensitive than it originally was. So yes I do wholeheartedly believe the formula of this product is fine to use on a daily basis.

The flavor of the toothpaste is in happy mint and I did notice that it isn't over bearing as some toothpastes can be. It isn't nearly as minty as the mint flavored Crest toothpaste which I hate. There is just the right amount of mint in this toothpaste for you to get that kind of fresh and clean feeling in your mouth.

A nice fun fact I thought I would mention is that the toothpaste is actually blue in color. When brushing my teeth the toothpaste foamed like no ones business and kind of stained my plaque. Making brushing easier and faster as I could tell where the most plaque buildup was. The staining affect actually reminds me of a childrens mouthwash that stains plaque blue that my nieces and nephews use.
Overall I think I would give this product a good 9 out of 10. It is affordable being only $7.99 for a 4 oz bottle and the product is actually not that bad. It isn't completely "instant whitening" but I do love the fact that it does whiten over time, doesn't make me teeth sensitive, and I can use it every day. This is available on amazon and if you would like more information on this particular item or other items Luster offers I will leave a link to Luster's website below. I hope this was informational!

WorthAMention: Dr. Scholls For Her Ball of Foot

I thought I would also mention these since I wore these on a recent GNO as I just recently blogged about. What I am talking about are the Dr. Scholl's For Her Ball of Foot inserts.
As you know I received these in my influenster something blue voxbox to test and I have been in love. I honestly don't know how I lived without these. I put these inserts into my heels and I feel no pain and I could if I wanted to dance the whole night away.

The part of the insoles that you put in to your heels are actually sticky so they don't slip and slide. They feel squishy and curve to your heels so you barely even notice they're there. The little grooves in them are actually really nice and almost have a massaging affect.

I would recommend these to anyone who wears heels on a regular basis. You could if you wanted to put them in a pair of wedges or anything with a little bit of height. You don't have to take my word for it being amazing but you should definitely check them out and see for yourself.

WorthAMention: Q-tips Precision Tips

I went to girls night out the other night and didn't get the chance to film a Get Ready With Me video but I thought I would mention these by themselves. They are the Q-tips precision tips that I used to fix and perfect my makeup look.
I did my makeup like normal and instead of using regular Q-tips I used the precision tips that were sent to me by Influenster. I like that these tips are pointy and get up underneath the eyes easier. It makes clean up a whole lot quicker. I really enjoy these and for any makeup addicts out there you may just want to try these out.

I am not sure how much the travel size precision tips are but for a 170 count pack it is $2.49. Obviously these can be purchased almost at any local drugstore. I hop these quick post was informative.

What I Received In My Influenster Box!

I've been waiting for this box for a few weeks now and it finally came in the mail! When I first got the invite from Influenster they called it the Featured May Dish Product saying I was pre-selected. I did the normal Influenster steps and I was selected as the...however many there were selected to be sent a box. I checked in my Influenster VoxBox and the official name for this VoxBox is the Palmolive soft touch.
I want to mention something really quick as it was disturbing to see when I received the box is that it was open. Not like it had accidentally been ripped open during the ride but as if someone had actually cut the tape to look inside. I am not sure if it was the mail man or if some one was trying to steal my mail. I am not sure but everyone in my household claims didn't open it. Anyway back to the box.
The two bottles I received are the Palmolive soft touch with Coconut Butter(left) and the Vitamin E(right) with their "New Formula". I have not used either yet as I will be giving one to my mom. My first impressions of the "Ultra Concentrated Dish Liquid" has not had my standards set too high since I am a major Dawn fan. My honest opinion when I first opened the package I thought the liquid was rather runny. The smells on the other hand are nice. The coconut butter one smells like coconuts with another kind of smell that I can't exactly put my finger on. On the other hand the vitamin E dish liquid caught me by surprise as it has a floral smell but with a note of citrus.

I actually like the Vitamin E one just a little bit more so I think I'm going to end up keeping that one and giving my mom the coconut butter. I can not wait to start using my new dish soap so until I post a review I will be seeing you all next time.
