FabFitFun Summer 2018

My FabFitFun box arrived and I'm super happy I purchased this box. I personally feel like this box was worth the hype and the money. It has a little bit of everything.

FabFitFun Basics
Quarterly Subscription (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter)
JOIN FabFitFun to get $10 off first box (invite link)
Or
JOIN FafFitFun for $49.99

My box looked pretty awesome right from the beginning. Although I did get to pick a few of the items I was pleasantly surprised by what I didn't get to pick.
Obviously, I went in for the big ticket items first. The Foreo Luna fofo. I basically got the box just for this and to me this product alone in the box would have been worth it. The fofo did launch exclusively with FabFitFun and has a retail price of $89.
Item number two is the Tarte tarteist PRO to go palette and the sex kitten liquid liner. These two items together have a retail price of $43. You got in your either this set for $43 or the PRO glow highlight and contour palette for $45.

My first impressions on the palette is the shadows are nice. I haven't picked up any Tarte palettes in a while so they seem good.

The sex kitten liner I'm on the fence on. Mainly because I swatched it on the back of my hand and after about ten minutes I went in to check if it smudges and (drum roll).......it smudged. I then tested if it was waterproof and of course it isn't, obviously because they didn't claim it to be so. This to me is a deal breaker because my eyes are naturally watery so I'm afraid it may just run off.

However, I am holding off judgment until I actually try the products on my eyes. *Side note: I left the smudge on my hand and it seemed to hold up pretty well. Even after washing my hands, cooking, and a little bit of dishes.*
Next up is the Erth Tu Y Yo Ring by Erth Jewelry. It is a 14k gold-plated ring with two freshwater pearls. This is one of the items that you could choose between. It was either this ring with a retail value of $55, the Jabonoria Marianella Hawaiian Black Lava Body Caviar ($48) or the Aromatherapy Associates De-Stress Muscle Gel ($39).

In the packaging they two pearls look the same color. However, if you enlarge the photo on the right you can tell that the two pearls are different in color. One is more of a mermaid color with flecks of pink and blue and the other is more of a champagne color. Very pretty none the less.

My one gripe would be that there are ridges in the pearls if you look at the ring from a top angle. I'm not sure if that came from placing the pearls on the ring or if mine was just messed up. I'm being petty here but the mermaid colored pearl has a bunch of scuff marks on it as well. Which is why I don't know if the ridges are intentional or if I seriously just got a bad one.
Next up is the Coola Face Sport SPF 50 White Tea Moisturizer that everyone received in their box with a retail value of $32. It is a  SPF 50 sunscreen that doubles as a moisturizer. I'm happy I received this as I was running low on my Julep Invisible Sunscreen Gel.
The Orlando Pita Play Atmos-Shield Hair Protectant Treatment Spray retails for $34. You either received this or the Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel ($45). I'm glad I received this instead of the enzyme peel because I was actually about the purchase the Amika Blockade Heat Defense Serum from Sephora so, I was stocked when I saw this at the bottom of my box.
Another this or that product was the Minor History Post Script Wallet, retailing at $20. The other Items that you could have received is the Vasanti Brighten Up! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator ($29) or the Maji Sports Loop Resistance Band ($15).

I am excited for this. We just went to Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO and I wish I would of had this instead of lugging around my bag. There's nothing wrong with my purse because of the material, nothing got wet but I didn't want to carry it around because it was bigger in size. This perfect for carrying just your ID, credit/debit card, a little cash or your room key. I love that it has a wrist strap too which makes carrying it around a lot easier.
Everyone also received the Pier 1 Imports Marble Ring Dish that retails for $14.99. It's simple and cute.
The last this or that item is this Summer & Rose Beach Towel with the pineapple print. This retails for $55 and you got to choose between this or the Yumi Kim Makeup Train Case that retails for $58. Both the train case and the beach towels had two different prints.

Last thing in the box that everyone received is this straw. Stay away from plastic straws people.

FINAL THOUGHTS:
The retail price of my box is $342.99. Am I happy with everything that I got? YES. The Foreo Luna fofo is something that I would use everyday. The palette and liquid liner are both things I can not wait to try. The ring? Who doesn't love jewelry? Sunscreen should be used on the daily. So, thank you Coola. Hair protectant is something I don't use often because I don't heat style much but when I do use heat on my hair, it is a must have. The wallet is a nice thing to have when you don't want to carry much and the ring dish is a simple piece that can go anywhere with anything. And obviously, who doesn't love a super soft towel that you can use for anything?

This box was definitely worth the $49.99 in my opinion.

Monthly Favorites

All my favorites this month are great. However, in conjunction with one another they are even better. One of my favorites for a few months now (but I haven't been blogging) is the YSL Touche Eclat Blur Primer. It is great for smoothing over any dry patches you may have on your skin.

The second item I have as a favorite is the Too Faced Peach Blur Translucent Smoothing Finishing Powder. I know a few bigger youtubers and bloggers don't really like this but I love it. It works great to smooth over and blur any imperfections that I have.
In my experience you can not use a fluffy brush with this powder. You have to use a denser brush that's going to be able to pick up the powder without fluffing it up and away. Personally, I like to use this Tarte brush from the 2017 holiday collection. However, I think that any dense brush you own will work.

Don't always take a fellow blogger or youtuber,s likes and dislikes so seriously. Especially because every ones skin is different. What may work on one may not work on another. If you are curious about a certain product definitely try it out for yourself. If you don't like it there is always the option of returning it. These two products together are a match made in heaven for my skin. I hope you liked the post and maybe even try out the products in the future.

HAUL: Ulta Black Friday

I know I've been MIA and I apologize for that. It's been hard juggling my sick daughter and a really bad break out/allergic reaction that's not going away. I will try and get back in to my normal blogging routine as quickly as I can. Until then here is my quick and small Ulta black Friday haul.

I didn't order anything special. I only picked up two of Ultas black Friday deals. After I received my order I really wish I had picked up more of the Benefit Lip Lotto. Funny thing about this order is that when I received my box I didn't get any samples. My invoice states that I opted for the variety sampler but obviously I didn't get any. I emailed Ulta and they are shipping me samples as I blog.

The item that I purchased and wished I would have picked up a few more of is the Benefit Lip Lotto. They were only $18 for three full size benefit lipsticks. Originally $18 per full size lipstick so this deal was awesome.

The only other thing I purchased was the Tarte Special Delivery Eye & Cheek Collection. This set includes a full size Amazonian clay smart mascara, a mini sample size of the multiplEYE prime lash enhancing primer, and a mini Amazonian clay blush in Magic.

The blush is a coral-y baby pink shade but I feel like its not as pigmented as the original shades. It is a pretty shade, that I must admit. Overall I'm satisfied with this purchase and I look forward to next years black Friday deals.

Haul: Sephora Friends and Family

I am pretty sure you all know that Sephora had their friends and family sale that ended last week. I waited till the last day to make my purchase as I wasn't even planing on making a purchase until I remembered that Sephora has most of the Holiday kits up for sale. Since I was already getting 20% percent off I used Ebates to get an additional 4% cash back so I thought "why not?". I did pick up a few other items along the way but none the less I am excited for everything.

My order came on Wednesday but I didn't have time to blog so it is a little late. My husbands been gaming too so I haven't been able to upload pictures as fast as I would like either. I do have to warn you that this post is pretty picture heavy so if you don't like that I am sorry. Now, on to the haul.

As always with sephora packaging theres sample on the top with your invoice. I received a sample of Givenchy Mister Light, Clarins Double Serum, Korres Greek Yoghurt and a sample of a boscia moisturizer.

Heres a quick overview of all the items I purchased. Minus the birthday present from Sephora.
I am pretty sure everyone who loves Sephora knows how the benefit samples look like. But if you don't already know then here's a quick look at what you get. Included is a mini Benefit they're Real mascara and a mini Watts Up.
I know a lot of people were excited for this face palette but I'm on the fence about it. I don't own any NARS blushes other than one of their eyeshadows but I am going to hold on to this palette and try it out anyways.
The only thing I have to say about this item is that I don't know what's what. The only thing I do know is that the bronzer on the bottom left hand corner is Laguna. On the back of the packaging it list all the names of the products included but I honestly don't know which ones Orgasm, Deep Throat, Goulue, Devotee, or Mistinguette. I think the top right hand corner is Orgasm and the one under that is Deep Throught but I'm not sure. Basically, unless you're a die hard fan of NARS you'll probably be like me and not know which one's which.
This was a random item I added because I wanted to try them and it is the Make Up For Ever Ever Lasting Liners set. This set includes three full size aqua eye liners in 0L which is the black, 25L which is a brown and 3L which is a navy blue. It also comes with three mini liners in 23L which is a flesh tone shade, 20L a forest green and 11L a deep plum purple.
I found it odd that it came packaged this way. Don't you? The liners where just folded up in black tissue paper and then thrown inside the box. However, I am still super excited to try these.
This bad boy here is the Too Faced Loves Sephora palette. If I am correct I think this came out last holiday but it was on sale for only $39 which was originally priced at $52. It was too good of a deal for me to pass up so I added it to my cart.
This palette includes 10 shadows, two bronzers, a blush, a mini blush brush, and a mini of their shadow insurance. All this for $39, 20% off of that, and an additional 4% cash back is a deal buster for me.
My last item is my main item that I am most excited for. It is the Tarte cheek palette. If you follow my blog then you know that I made a Tarte order a few months ago. Well my son recently decided to play with my blush stash and broke all my Tarte blushes so this was my only option to get the most bang for my buck and get to try a few more of their blushes.
The palette came with super cute bow bracelet/cuff which is almost too small to fit my wrist. Super cute packaging always gets me so good job Tarte!
The blushes included are in the shades Crave, Dazzled, Darling, and Dollface. The last one is actually their bronzer in Park Ave Princess. Crave is a coral-y pink, Dazzled is a sparkly mauve-y shade bordering a berry color, Darling is a medium coral-peach and Dollface is a bright pink. Park Ave Princess is a matte brown that seems like a shade between a deep brown and a medium brown.

That is all for my haul! I hope you enjoyed my quick post and I will be doing reviews of these items in the future so look out for them.

HAUL: Ulta Friends and Family 2013

I finally had my Ulta friends and family sale order come in today so I thought I would show you before I ended up putting it off or forgetting. Since it already took a whole week to get to me I thought I would haul it before I forgot.
Anyways if you didn't already know Ulta had their friends and family sale which is 20% off your entire purchase. Plus if you ordered over $50 worth of merchandise you got free shipping so it was already a nice deal if your purchase was more than $50. I didn't go crazy at Ulta because Sephora was having their friends and family sale too so I left a little cash for Sephora. I ended up getting only two things from Ulta but I am super excited about them both.
I have never ordered from Ulta's site so I was pretty impressed with their packaging. My order was definitely safe inside this overstuffed box.
My entire order. Pretty small but very excited to start digging into these goodies!
This is the main item I was excited to get. I love Tarte and I'm thinking about getting most of Tarte's Holiday collection this year. The packaging is extravagant and I am sucker for pretty packaging. This baby right here is the Tarte Gorgeous Getaways set. Valued at $433 but retailed at and amazing deal of only $48.
The set comes with 4 quads and 4 blushes.
For some odd reason Spontaneous(blush in top right hand corner) had a white cast. Maybe it's just my flash?
The set as a whole.
Stated above the set has four interchangeable quads + blush that can be put inside the gold bow palette.
Cutest packaging ever!
Full size Tarte glosses in When In Rome, New York Minute, and Czech Me Out.
I think I would have loved this set even more if the lip glosses could fit inside the little bow clutch palette. I am not complaining I am just stating my personal preference but I do really like the set.

I am pretty sure you already saw my second item but it is the Lorac Rockin' Red Hot Pro set. This set is valued at $133 but sold as $39.

I'm pretty sure its only a baby size but included is the Lorac Behind The Scenes Eye Primer. The tube feels very light. Almost as if there's nothing inside and when I squeeze the bottle you can tell it's mostly air.
Also included in the kit is the Lorac Front Of The Line Pro Eyeliner. I am pretty sure this is full size but don't quote me on that.
And lastly is the palette itself. I've heard so much about this palette so I thought I would try it out!
As stated by almost all beauty gurus on youtube there are 8 matte shades on top and 8 shimmer shades on the bottom row.

As for the samples I received a random pack of samples. As shown down below.

Foil packet of hand cream???
DDF Ultra-Lite Oil-Free Moisturizing Dew???
And last is a sample of Olay PROx Spot Fading Treatment.
And that is everything that I purchased from Ulta's friends and family sale. If you have haul please link it down below because I would like to see what everyone else purchased. Thanks for reading!

**FUN FACTS**
I will be posting a few more blogs this weekend since I didn't blog the entire week! Thumbs up for me not being lazy or forgetful.
