Haul: Sephora Friends and Family

I am pretty sure you all know that Sephora had their friends and family sale that ended last week. I waited till the last day to make my purchase as I wasn't even planing on making a purchase until I remembered that Sephora has most of the Holiday kits up for sale. Since I was already getting 20% percent off I used Ebates to get an additional 4% cash back so I thought "why not?". I did pick up a few other items along the way but none the less I am excited for everything.

My order came on Wednesday but I didn't have time to blog so it is a little late. My husbands been gaming too so I haven't been able to upload pictures as fast as I would like either. I do have to warn you that this post is pretty picture heavy so if you don't like that I am sorry. Now, on to the haul.

As always with sephora packaging theres sample on the top with your invoice. I received a sample of Givenchy Mister Light, Clarins Double Serum, Korres Greek Yoghurt and a sample of a boscia moisturizer.

Heres a quick overview of all the items I purchased. Minus the birthday present from Sephora.
I am pretty sure everyone who loves Sephora knows how the benefit samples look like. But if you don't already know then here's a quick look at what you get. Included is a mini Benefit they're Real mascara and a mini Watts Up.
I know a lot of people were excited for this face palette but I'm on the fence about it. I don't own any NARS blushes other than one of their eyeshadows but I am going to hold on to this palette and try it out anyways.
The only thing I have to say about this item is that I don't know what's what. The only thing I do know is that the bronzer on the bottom left hand corner is Laguna. On the back of the packaging it list all the names of the products included but I honestly don't know which ones Orgasm, Deep Throat, Goulue, Devotee, or Mistinguette. I think the top right hand corner is Orgasm and the one under that is Deep Throught but I'm not sure. Basically, unless you're a die hard fan of NARS you'll probably be like me and not know which one's which.
This was a random item I added because I wanted to try them and it is the Make Up For Ever Ever Lasting Liners set. This set includes three full size aqua eye liners in 0L which is the black, 25L which is a brown and 3L which is a navy blue. It also comes with three mini liners in 23L which is a flesh tone shade, 20L a forest green and 11L a deep plum purple.
I found it odd that it came packaged this way. Don't you? The liners where just folded up in black tissue paper and then thrown inside the box. However, I am still super excited to try these.
This bad boy here is the Too Faced Loves Sephora palette. If I am correct I think this came out last holiday but it was on sale for only $39 which was originally priced at $52. It was too good of a deal for me to pass up so I added it to my cart.
This palette includes 10 shadows, two bronzers, a blush, a mini blush brush, and a mini of their shadow insurance. All this for $39, 20% off of that, and an additional 4% cash back is a deal buster for me.
My last item is my main item that I am most excited for. It is the Tarte cheek palette. If you follow my blog then you know that I made a Tarte order a few months ago. Well my son recently decided to play with my blush stash and broke all my Tarte blushes so this was my only option to get the most bang for my buck and get to try a few more of their blushes.
The palette came with super cute bow bracelet/cuff which is almost too small to fit my wrist. Super cute packaging always gets me so good job Tarte!
The blushes included are in the shades Crave, Dazzled, Darling, and Dollface. The last one is actually their bronzer in Park Ave Princess. Crave is a coral-y pink, Dazzled is a sparkly mauve-y shade bordering a berry color, Darling is a medium coral-peach and Dollface is a bright pink. Park Ave Princess is a matte brown that seems like a shade between a deep brown and a medium brown.

That is all for my haul! I hope you enjoyed my quick post and I will be doing reviews of these items in the future so look out for them.

Haul: Tarte 30% Off Sale

I made an order off of Tartes website last week when they were having 30% off their entire website. It was an amazing deal so I ended up picking up three of their blushes. I picked up the colors in Tipsy, Flushed, and Fearless. I forgot to check but I remember adding their bronzer sample for free but for some reason it didn't go through. So today I received my package and I am just very upset and disappointed. There just aren't any words for me to express my disappointment.
When I heard the FEDEX truck I was super excited but it ended up going to my moms house and dropped it off over their. I literally ran there, picked it up and came back home. When I opened the box my heart dropped. Let down number one, apparently I didn't order a deluxe sample of the bronzer which I am pretty sure I had added to my cart. Let down number two was when I opened up the tissue one of my blushes wasn't even a box. I opened it up and obviously it was completely smashed to bits. I opened up the other two blushes to make sure they weren't cracked either. Thankfully they weren't or I would have been a very unhappy camper.
Like I said it's completely broken and theirs possibly no chance of me even saving this blush. I did swatch whatever was left of it. This blush has huge glitter chunks but after swatching it the bigger chucks seemed to fall off and all that was left was the color of the blush and little, itty bitty specks of sparkle that's barely even noticeable with just the slightest sheen. It's actually really pretty but sadly I will probably have to wait a few more days to get it replaced. I have emailed Tartes customer service and hopefully it will all get straightened out soon. Hopefully sooner than later though.
LEFT: Tipsy
RIGHT: Flushed
Tipsy is a gorgeous matte coral shade. I didn't swatch as I was just too upset to do anymore swatches. Flushed is a berry shade great for fall and winter so I picked that up.

I will have swatches and a full review up after I test out these colors. Thanks for reading and I will see you guys soon.

Ipsy April 2013

I received my Ipsy bag for the month of April today. I am so excited...kind of. Well at least for the most part YES.
*QUICK NOTE: I know I usually put my blog name on my photos but I know if I don't post this up now without my blog name...then I'm probably never going to be able to post this up.*

Card on the LEFT side is the normal Ipsy card with the theme "Pretty In Pink".
Card on the RIGHT is an Invitation to Generation Beauty in L.A. with a 60% off code to reserve a ticket.

be a..bombshell blush in Beach Please

Mica Beauty Cosmetics Shimmer Powder in number 72 Earth.
->Shimmery Neutral Pink with Gold Sparkles

healthysexyhair Soy Renewal

Last item is a Sation Nail Lacquer in the color I'll Call You
-> Very sheer pink (may need 3 to 4 coats to be opaque)

All in all I was pretty happy with the April Ipsy bag. The only thing I was kind of upset about was that I'm not a big loose eyeshadow kind of person. I find it to be too messy and I would of preferred the two cosmetics duo eyeshadow. Like I said in my other posts though it was only $10 so for $10 I think my money was well spent.

My only rant for this month is that when my bag came in my Mica Beauty eyeshadow cap was almost completely off of the jar. It's a good think it was sealed or it would have been a nightmare.

March Ipsy 2013

I received my March Ipsy bag yesterday but didn't have time to post on here so here it is.
I like this months theme for the bags. Super cute design! The theme of this months bag is "THE GREAT ESCAPE".
ALL THE GOODIES!
La Fresh makeup remover wipes which I'm not a fan of wipes. I tend to not use this method on my eyes even if it is the quickest way to remove makeup. I'd rather not have premature wrinkles and take my time removing my makeup.
Juice Beauty hydrating mist. My sister in law used this after she received it and she said it burned. I'm kind of hesitant to try this so if you've already used this and it didn't burn you please do tell me.
GLAMRX magnetic palette. When I saw the preview for this I thought it was going to be big but it's really small and fit in the palm of my hand.
Yaby eyeshadows in azalea petal which is the darker eyeshadow and seashell which is the lighter of the two colors.
Pictured above is just to give you  a size comparison of the shadows and the size of the magnetic palette. As you can see the palette is pretty small and so are the eyeshadows. The two bigger eyeshadows are the sizes of MAC shadows so that should give you a pretty good comparison of how big or small everything is. I'm still pretty impressed with everything especially when I only paid $10 for all of this.

Benefit Watt's Up! VS Wet N Wild Walking On Eggshells

I know that highlighting is something that not everyone does on a regular basis. However, I know that purchasing a decent highlighter can be a little expensive so that is why I found a nice little dupe for the infamous Watt's Up by Benefit. I received this as a birthday gift from Sephora last month and I've been loving it and even considered repurchasing it. When I was applying this it kind of reminded me of the eyelid color from the Wet N Wild Walking on Eggshells 3 pan palette. Thus I decided to swatch them to see how similar they were and they are pretty similar. I'm not saying for you to go out and buy this palette but I just wanted to share my thoughts on this. Not everyone has the same skin tone so this may or may not work for you but it should apply the same for the majority of skin colors.

Obviously from the photo of the swatches you can tell they are pretty similar. The top swatch is the Watt's Up! by Benefit and the bottom swatch is the eyelid color from the Wet N Wild palette. I did have to build up the Wet N Wild color just a little bit but none the less it's a pretty decent dupe. Like I said I am only giving my opinion and if you like the Benefit Watt's Up highlighter definitely check out the Wet N Wild palette if your searching for a more affordable highlighter that has the same color of the Benefit Watt's Up, plus two other eye colors.

Hope you guys enjoyed this quick post and I'll be seeing you guys later!
