Review & Swatches: Maybelline LE Gilded In Gold Collection

This year Maybelline came out with the best thing ever to hit drugstores and they are the limited edition color tattoos from the Gilded In Gold Collection. If you don't know already then this holiday collection has three limited edition color tattoos. All of which are matte shades!
 **CLICK PHOTOS TO ENLARGE**

I know a lot of ladies compare these to MAC paint pots but honestly I don't know. I do not own any paint pots so I'm not even go to go there and start comparing. I couldn't find these in my local stores so I found a lady on a facebook group who had found them and was willing to ship them to me. All I paid was the price of the tattoos and shipping charges, so thank you Tiffany if you're reading this. Anyways, the three shades in the collection are in the colors 255 Just Beige, 250 Nude Pink, and 260 Matte Brown (from left to right shown in photos).

I think the shade I was most excited about and tried on the instant I received them was the shade in Just Beige. To me, Just Beige is a warm concealer shade but with an added bonus of being long wearing and water proof.
Nude pink is more of a muted, pale, lilac shade rather than a pink color. In the pot it looks more like a mauve-y, dusty, pink so the shade in the pot versus the actual shade you get when applied are different but it is none the less a very gorgeous shade. Great base for purple smokey eyes or any kind of pinky purple look.
The last of the three shades is Matte Brown. Obviously by the name I'm pretty sure you can tell that the color tattoo is matte brown. Off topic but this shade reminds me a lot of smeared chocolate or coco powder when swatched.

I love the Maybelline Color Tattoos as a whole but I think I am going to favor this collection a lot more than the rest of the shades that I already own. These shades are just as long wearing and water proof as any other shade. I did a swatch test just to see how long the shades would last and they stayed put for about a good 18-24 hours on my hand. They went through 2 showers, dish washing, cooking, cleaning, and farm work so these are definitely a must have for any makeup junkie.

Haul: Hautelook & L'OCCITANE

One of my favorite things to read on blogs or watch on youtube are HAULS! I love seeing what everyone gets so yes I know I post a lot of hauls myself. Anyways I made two Hautelook orders a few weeks back and they finally got here. I also made a quick order on L'OCCITANE a few days ago too so heres my haul.

Hautelook Order 1 - Laura Geller:
My first order that came in was from Laura Geller which I purchased last month on the 24th and it just got to me Wednesday. It took kind of long but I think it is totally worth the wait especially becasue of the prices they're being sold at on Hautelook.

This is the first time I received a box from Hautelook packaged like this so I took photos. Each individual item was in its own little white baggie. When I dumped the contents out it looked like all they did was throw the products in and then stick this piece of tissue paper with the Hautelook logo on it and then tapped it up. Good think nothing was broken or I would have been pretty upset.

Back: Berry Beautiful Set
Front: Balance-N-Brighten & Blush-N-Brighten

First item I'm super happy about is the Balance-N-Brighten Foundation original priced at $30. I've been debating about purchasing this but when I saw it on Hautelook for only $17.50 it was such an amazing steal I could not resist.

Second item was the Blush-N-Brighten in Tropic Hues also originally priced at $30. On Hautelook it was basically half off so I picked myself up this gorgeous blush. I didn't take a photo of the swatch but it does have a slight sheen to it. No glitter but a sheen.

The last item I purchased is actually a set in Berry Beautiful. I am not sure how much this set goes for but it was on Hautelook for only $20. The Blush-N-Brighten is in the shade Sateen Subtle Berry and is full size which retails $30 already so this set at only $20 is a deal. I don't think anyone could just pass this up if they love Laura Geller like I do.

The Baked Eye Pie Shadow Trio is in the shade Blueberry Muffin. I think its kind of silly the way Laura Geller named her products but it is different and really stands out at the same time.

Hautelook Order 2 - theBalm:
I made my second purchase on the 4th of this month and I received it on Saturday. Two days after I received my Laura Geller order so shipping time is different for every order/brand. I wasn't even going to order from theBalm but noticed they had a limited edition palette. If I was going to purchase the palette I might as well purchase a few other items I've been wanting to try.

This order was packaged even weirder than my Laura Geller order as each item was individually wrapped. In the past they would just put the lot together and wrap it all with the same piece of tissue. I guess too many items were breaking during shipment so they started wrapping them individually to keep the items tighter thus not breaking.

This palette here is the Limited Editon Shady Lady palette that I had to get. It's all neutrals but I don't think anyone could ever have enough neutral shades. It has some similar names from the previous Shady Ladies but they aren't the same colors.

Since I've been obsessed with matte shades of everything I purchased DownBoy and Fratboy, both being blush/shadows. Downboy is a brighter pink while FratBoy is a redder pink shade.

That's all I purchased from Hautelook. If you don't know what hautelook is I will leave a link so you can go check out there amazing sales. HAUTELOOK WEBSITE: www.hautelook.com

Now on to my L'OOCITANE order. It's actually a very small order but I thought I would share since I'm already posting a haul. I hade a code for a free Creme Divine mini and 20% off my order so I picked up two of their hand creams which I hear a lot about. I picked up the 30ml Dry Skin Hand Cream and the 30ml Honey Hand Cream.

And....that pretty much wraps up my haul. Hope you enjoyed this quick haul and I'll see you guys in a later post.

Review: Wet N Wild LE Pop Art Craze To Muse and Carouse

I am here today with a review of the Wet N Wild Limited Edition Pop Art Craze 3 pan palette in To Muse and Carouse. This collection was just recently released I think in July of this year. I found mine at my local Walgreens for $2.99 per palette. I've heard some ladies getting them for more or less depending on where they live and if their local stores had sales.

Color Selection:
Browbone: matte peachy salmon
Crease: matte brown
Eyelid: matte bright electric baby blue
Swatches:
 TOP: Flash
BOTTOM: No Flash
The peachy salmon brow bone shade is a nice transition color for my skin tone. At the same time it has enough peachyness in it to bring a little bit of warmth to your eyes. This shade was hard to build up but worked well as a blending shade along with being a transition color. The crease shade I think is the easiest to work with. It blended well and at the same time you could build up the color intensity but it did have a bit of fall out. As for the eyelid color I found this color to be the most pigmented but also the most chalky. All three of these shades were chalky and had a bit of fall out but none the less an amazing purchase for only $2.99.
For this look I first placed the browbone shade as a transition color. I then took the crease color and placed it along my crease. I built up the intensity of the color on the outer corner of my eyes and took it under my bottom lashes. I built up the eyelid color on top of a Maybelline color tattoo to make it pop and that was how I achieved this look.

If you liked this review then stay tuned as I will be doing more Wet N Wild reviews in the future. Including more of the limited edition pop art craze palettes. Thank you and I will see you guys later!

Haul: Wet N Wild and Clarisonic Mia

I've been on the hunt for the Limited Edition Wet N Wild Pop Art Craze collection since I first heard about them. Which wasn't so long ago if I do say so myself. Like I was saying I been searching and I finally found them yesterday at my local Walgreens. To make a long story short I picked up all six of the palettes for $2.99 a palette.
LtoR: To Muse and Carouse, A Regular at the Factory, Hard Being the It Girl
Top With Flash
Bottom No Flash
I have not swatched any of these as I haven't had the time to swatch all the palettes and take photos.
LtoR; I'm Seeing Triplets, Your 15 Minutes Aren't Up!, Three's A Party
Top With Flash
Bottom No Flash
I can't wait to start dipping into all these goodies! As you can see they look amazing and very promising. I will be a very happy camper if the quality of these shadows are like the rest of the Wet N Wild trios.

Last little-big item I purchased is the Clarisonic Mia. I was checking the news feed on a facebook group that I'm in the other day and an amazing lady was trying to sell her Clarisonic Mia as she was in need of cash. I pm'd her and got this sucker for only $50.00. She included the Clarisonic Mia itself and an extra brush head which retails for $25.00 if I'm correct. The Clarisonic Mia retails for $119.00 on Sephora so I got an amazing deal.

I don't know what really to expect as I never even thought about purchasing this but I have used it once. As of right I have nothing to say but definitely stay tuned for a review in the future.
