August Plan With Me

I decided to go with a citrus/lemonade theme this month. Since it's the last summer month I thought this would be the best way to incorporate a summer theme without being too summery.
On the left I have my month at a glace and under that I have any important dates that I need to remember to mark on my calendar. On the right hand side I have my expenses for the month. I decided to completely omit my budget tracker since I wasn't completely keeping up with.

Next I have my habit and mood tracker. It's laid out like a monthly calendar but I color my in my habits and moods in as the month progresses.
I decided to make the first week on August books themed because the fourth and fifth is Arkansas tax holiday. Best day for back to school shopping.

Julep May/June 2018

It's been so long I don't even know if this is supposed to be the box for May or June but here I am. If you didn't know Julep is a subscription service, mainly for nail products. As of late, they have been expanding and pushing out things like lip products, face products, skin care and other related products. A box is normally $19.99 but I got this box with points that I've racked up and have been saving for something that I really wanted to try.

I picked up the Diamond Powder Bronzer in the shade medium tan.
Matte Lip Mousse in the shade Pillow Talk.
The matte lip mousse is a pretty mauve pink shade. Very wearable. The bronzer is extremely metallic. Maybe it might just be a spray overlay that makes it look super metallic. To me it seems more like a metallic eye shadow than a bronzer but I guess I'll continue to try it and see how I feel about it.

I hope you guys check out Julep to see if you guys like their services. Thank you for checking my post. See you next time.

FabFitFun Summer 2018

My FabFitFun box arrived and I'm super happy I purchased this box. I personally feel like this box was worth the hype and the money. It has a little bit of everything.

FabFitFun Basics
Quarterly Subscription (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter)
JOIN FabFitFun to get $10 off first box (invite link)
Or
JOIN FafFitFun for $49.99

My box looked pretty awesome right from the beginning. Although I did get to pick a few of the items I was pleasantly surprised by what I didn't get to pick.
Obviously, I went in for the big ticket items first. The Foreo Luna fofo. I basically got the box just for this and to me this product alone in the box would have been worth it. The fofo did launch exclusively with FabFitFun and has a retail price of $89.
Item number two is the Tarte tarteist PRO to go palette and the sex kitten liquid liner. These two items together have a retail price of $43. You got in your either this set for $43 or the PRO glow highlight and contour palette for $45.

My first impressions on the palette is the shadows are nice. I haven't picked up any Tarte palettes in a while so they seem good.

The sex kitten liner I'm on the fence on. Mainly because I swatched it on the back of my hand and after about ten minutes I went in to check if it smudges and (drum roll).......it smudged. I then tested if it was waterproof and of course it isn't, obviously because they didn't claim it to be so. This to me is a deal breaker because my eyes are naturally watery so I'm afraid it may just run off.

However, I am holding off judgment until I actually try the products on my eyes. *Side note: I left the smudge on my hand and it seemed to hold up pretty well. Even after washing my hands, cooking, and a little bit of dishes.*
Next up is the Erth Tu Y Yo Ring by Erth Jewelry. It is a 14k gold-plated ring with two freshwater pearls. This is one of the items that you could choose between. It was either this ring with a retail value of $55, the Jabonoria Marianella Hawaiian Black Lava Body Caviar ($48) or the Aromatherapy Associates De-Stress Muscle Gel ($39).

In the packaging they two pearls look the same color. However, if you enlarge the photo on the right you can tell that the two pearls are different in color. One is more of a mermaid color with flecks of pink and blue and the other is more of a champagne color. Very pretty none the less.

My one gripe would be that there are ridges in the pearls if you look at the ring from a top angle. I'm not sure if that came from placing the pearls on the ring or if mine was just messed up. I'm being petty here but the mermaid colored pearl has a bunch of scuff marks on it as well. Which is why I don't know if the ridges are intentional or if I seriously just got a bad one.
Next up is the Coola Face Sport SPF 50 White Tea Moisturizer that everyone received in their box with a retail value of $32. It is a  SPF 50 sunscreen that doubles as a moisturizer. I'm happy I received this as I was running low on my Julep Invisible Sunscreen Gel.
The Orlando Pita Play Atmos-Shield Hair Protectant Treatment Spray retails for $34. You either received this or the Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel ($45). I'm glad I received this instead of the enzyme peel because I was actually about the purchase the Amika Blockade Heat Defense Serum from Sephora so, I was stocked when I saw this at the bottom of my box.
Another this or that product was the Minor History Post Script Wallet, retailing at $20. The other Items that you could have received is the Vasanti Brighten Up! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator ($29) or the Maji Sports Loop Resistance Band ($15).

I am excited for this. We just went to Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO and I wish I would of had this instead of lugging around my bag. There's nothing wrong with my purse because of the material, nothing got wet but I didn't want to carry it around because it was bigger in size. This perfect for carrying just your ID, credit/debit card, a little cash or your room key. I love that it has a wrist strap too which makes carrying it around a lot easier.
Everyone also received the Pier 1 Imports Marble Ring Dish that retails for $14.99. It's simple and cute.
The last this or that item is this Summer & Rose Beach Towel with the pineapple print. This retails for $55 and you got to choose between this or the Yumi Kim Makeup Train Case that retails for $58. Both the train case and the beach towels had two different prints.

Last thing in the box that everyone received is this straw. Stay away from plastic straws people.

FINAL THOUGHTS:
The retail price of my box is $342.99. Am I happy with everything that I got? YES. The Foreo Luna fofo is something that I would use everyday. The palette and liquid liner are both things I can not wait to try. The ring? Who doesn't love jewelry? Sunscreen should be used on the daily. So, thank you Coola. Hair protectant is something I don't use often because I don't heat style much but when I do use heat on my hair, it is a must have. The wallet is a nice thing to have when you don't want to carry much and the ring dish is a simple piece that can go anywhere with anything. And obviously, who doesn't love a super soft towel that you can use for anything?

This box was definitely worth the $49.99 in my opinion.

Plan With Me: June 4th - June 17th

My weekly planers for the week of the fourth through the tenth and the eleventh through the seventeenth are exactly the same in format. Though I did choose different accent colors. I decided to keep the next two months simple as I probably won't be doing much. Obviously, school is out so I don't find myself needing that much space. I am enjoying the simplicity of them and how fast they are compared to other months and weeks that I use up two pages for just one week.
As you can see it is very simple and basic. I have my weekly expenses tracker, a to do list for that week, a "this week" column for anything that is due or an important date, and my daily thoughts are at the bottom. For the week of the eleventh through the seventeenth, I chose to use two accent colors instead of one. Mainly because I felt like the first week looked rather plain with only one accent color.

If you enjoy these post definitely continue checking out my blog today and hope to see you again soon!

June Monthly Setup

June's theme is summer and mermaids. This month I felt super lazy so I decided to use an old stamp set I got at Michael's last year sometime before or after summer. I didn't want the stamp to bleed through so I stamped them onto a regular sheet of paper, cut it out and pasted it into my bullet journal.

The colored coral and shell I used a regular marker and just dabbed the stamp until it looked like it was holding the color and stamped it directly onto the paper. As always, my calligraphy is slowing getting better with time.
My month at a glance is a lot bigger this month. Yay! In the previous months I made my month at a glace all on one page. I keep feeling clammed up so I decided to try out an entire two pages instead of just the one. As of right now, I like the look. The mermaid on the side is from the same set as the cover page mermaid.
My budget tracker is the same as last months. I like this setup and I think I am going to continue using this setup up until I find something more functional. Not that this one isn't, but I like this one in particular because it forces you to keep up with all your budgeting. That is, unless you want to get really behind.
This month I put my habit and mood tracker all into one big monthly calendar instead of multiple individual ones. The tracker is three dots across and five dots down. This gives me enough room to color in all my habit and even more than one mood if I need it. And, as you can see this month was all kinds of mess up too.

Monthly Favorites

All my favorites this month are great. However, in conjunction with one another they are even better. One of my favorites for a few months now (but I haven't been blogging) is the YSL Touche Eclat Blur Primer. It is great for smoothing over any dry patches you may have on your skin.

The second item I have as a favorite is the Too Faced Peach Blur Translucent Smoothing Finishing Powder. I know a few bigger youtubers and bloggers don't really like this but I love it. It works great to smooth over and blur any imperfections that I have.
In my experience you can not use a fluffy brush with this powder. You have to use a denser brush that's going to be able to pick up the powder without fluffing it up and away. Personally, I like to use this Tarte brush from the 2017 holiday collection. However, I think that any dense brush you own will work.

Don't always take a fellow blogger or youtuber,s likes and dislikes so seriously. Especially because every ones skin is different. What may work on one may not work on another. If you are curious about a certain product definitely try it out for yourself. If you don't like it there is always the option of returning it. These two products together are a match made in heaven for my skin. I hope you liked the post and maybe even try out the products in the future.

May Bullet Journal Setup + Weeklys

My may cover page I tried to stay with a floral theme. However, it didn't stick that long. It only made it to the monthly setup and the first weekly spread.
My May month at a glance was pretty simplistic.  Anything with an underline was related to bills and anything that needed to payed. Any date with a filled in circle were events for the month. The red arrows signified any event that was occurring for more than one day.
Next was my budget and habit trackers. On the top of my budget tracker I just put in order by date my bills and the amount due. Which I did not fill in until the week it was due. On the bottom half of that page I just have different things I'm tracking like how much I'm spending on gas, take out, entertainment, groceries, and miscellaneous items. Under that I marked out each week so I know exactly how much I'm spending each week and then a grand total for the month for each category.
My habit tracker was all over the place this month. As you can see I made 3 tiny months for each habit I was tracking. My mood tracker was a wreath full of leaves. And each day I colored the corresponding color to how I was feeling that day.
I was debating about a brain dump page but I'm happy I added it. I feel like on the months I put this in I don't use it and on the months that I don't have it, I wish I would have put it in. So I think I'm going to continue putting this page in even if I may or may not use it.

My first weekly spread was from April 30th to May 6th.
Week two: May 7th to May 13th

Week three: May 14th through the 20th
Week four: May 21st through May 27
Week five: May 28th through June 3rd
I made both these weeks a one page per week because I knew they were going to be uneventful. I made them just large enough to fit in my daily thoughts and any reminders for due dates or events.

Beginner Bullet Journal Journey

At the beginning of this year I started a bullet journal instead of getting a new yearly planner. I've never really been artsy but I decided that this year I wanted to try something new. I have always just gone the easy way and purchased a yearly planner. Last year I used the MAMBI Happy Planner which I enjoyed but this year after watching so many YouTube videos of all the wonderful ladies bullet journaling, I wanted to try it for myself.

I purchased the Rhodia Black Webnotebook off of AMAZON for roughly $16.00. I've had my bullet journal for roughly a month and I am absolutely glad I went this route. It has been fun and I have been pushing myself to draw more. I've taken pictures of a few of my simple bullet journal weekly layouts. Hope you guys enjoy them.
