  • And many more!"

I received the Montagnue Jeunesse face mask in Cucumber Peel Off from INFLUENSTER's Holiday VoxBox. I actually don't have that much experience in face masks so when I got this I was quite excited like many of my other products I received in my VoxBox.  When I first went to try this product out I had no idea what to expect from it.  My first impressions of it when I touched it was that it had a gel-like consistency and it had a greenish tint to it which kind of scared me. LOL. I still ended up putting it on my face and after about a five minute time span I noticed the drying of the product.  After fifteen or so minutes I felt that the face mask had completely dried because my face was really tight.  I ended up peeling it off and it felt like all the dirt and oils that were previously on my face had peeled away with the face mask.  This was the first time my face felt so clean and soft for the first time in a long time.  I was so amazed on how great my face felt that I really want to get my hands on a few more.

TIPS: Be generous with the amount of the product you put on your face.  It's not gonna hurt to put on the whole packet.

VERDICT: I LOVE IT! I'm really interested in this product now that I've tried it so I actually want to try out all the ones that they offer.

imPress Press On Manicure

"Introducing imPress, the revolutionary way to apply nail polish! Featuring advanced technology, you will get a salon-perfect manicure in seconds - simply peel off, press on, and you're done(no drying time!) imPress comes in 36 colors and patterns, including trendy brights, fun prints, classic darks and animal prints."

I received the imPress Press On Manicure by Broadway Nails in my INFLUENSTER Holiday Voxbox and at first I was excited about trying this.  I tend to do my nails at least once a week or once every two weeks or so I was excited about receiving something nail related. The colored imPress Press On Manicures retail for $5.99 while patterned ones retail for $7.99 and can be located at your local CVS, Wal-Mart, Rite Aide, KMart, Walgreens, Duane Reade and many more.

The color that I received was Tweetheart which is just a nice bold, true red color.  I am not a big fan of red on my nails but I still gave it a try.  It was rather easy to apply being that all I did wass peel the clear piece off the glue on the nails and just stick it on to your finger nails. The application went smooth however after a few minutes I started doing some chores around the house and I noticed that the nail was actually peeling off.  I looked under my nails and I could see a huge gap between my real nails and the fake nail that I had just applied.  I ended up peeling a few of them off so I could redo them and they still ended up peeling off before the end of the day.  I was really upset about this product because I really wanted to like it.  I love easy application but this product just didn't work out for me.  I think this is mostly because my actual nails are kind of flat so this product might work out well for you if you have nice rounded nails.

VERDICT: I wouldn't buy this but it may work well for those with rounded nails and not so much for those with flat nails.

NYC NEW YORK COLOR

Hey everyone I have a review on the New York Color Liquid Lip Shine in Nude York City that I got at the beginning of this month in my INFLUENSTER Holiday Voxbox!  If you don't know what Influenster is I have it linked above.  I'm not going to get too much into explaining it because I really suck at explaining so I'm just going to jump right in to my review.

On the card that came along with the Voxbox it says "Straight from the city that never sleeps, New York Color's Liquid Lipshine is uptown style at a down-to-earth price. With pure pigments that create a 3-D gloss effect and vitamin E that provides shine and moisture, this product is perfect to keep lips looking and feeling fabulous this season. Comes in 10 shades from neutral  nude, to berries & fuchsias."

This was the first product I jumped at to try because I love anything beauty related as you may know already.  Honestly I didn't expect much from it because the retail price on it is about $2.50 a color.  However, they feel and look more expensive than a mere $2.50.  They feel absolutely amazing on the lips! The color I received was Nude York City and it was a perfect nude color with flecks of silver in it. The silver flecks are quite nice because your lips look plumper which is definitely a thumbs up for me. It isn't sticky at all and the pigmentation a pretty decent. The one thing I love most about this product is that it keeps my lips moisturized all day long even after it has worn away.

TIP: Keep this product with you if you want your lips to be this color all day for it is only a Liquid Lip Shin.

THE VERDICT: I love this product and I actually planning on getting a few more at my local drug store.  Obviously I'm only going to get nude colors. =)

Aveeno Baby

Hello blogging world!  Yes I know I haven’t blogged in over a month or so.  I swear I have a good excuse.  =)  Obviously I have a newborn in the house who needs my attention so that is why I haven’t been able to blog much lately.  Another reason would be that I will moving soon so I have been getting all of our belongings packed early so when we do move it’ll be much easier.  Anyways that’s enough about what’s happening in my life now on to the blogging.

Like I stated above I have a two month old almost three months now who recently started getting red, itchy, dry splotches on his face.  Mainly on his cheeks and the sides of his head is where the splotches turned up.  I’m not sure if it’s the weather but I noticed this a week or so ago and I hoped it would just go away.  After waiting about a week I had had enough.  It wasn’t going away and it actually looked like it was getting worse.

Friday November 5th we went to Fort Smith to go check out Toys R Us and have dinner.  After dinner we went to Wal-Mart to get some things for my husband.  While he was searching for his things I decided to go look for a lotion of some sort for Leonidus’s splotches.  The baby section had so many lotions I didn’t really know what to pick up.  I ended up picking up the Aveeno Baby Daily Moisture Lotion which is fragrance free and pediatrician recommended.  On the bottle it claims to help heal and protect delicate skin and moisturizes for up to 24 hours.

I used it the next day right after I brought baby Leonidus out of his tube.  I noticed that a few hours after I put the lotion on the redness disappeared and his skin was smoothing out and he didn’t reach to itch his face anymore.  After two day his face was almost back to how it was before his face started getting dry and itchy.  I was so amazed!  I love using this product on his face and do regular spot treatments on his face where it’s dryer and redder.  For any mommies out there who have children or infants with delicate and sensitive skin I strongly suggest this for the winter months when its cold and windy making your child’s face dry and itchy.  I’ve only had this for a few days and I am completely satisfied with it because it is true to what it claims.  It is definitely something worth buying no matter what the price.

My First Julep Maven (November Julep Maven Box)

I’ve been debating if I wanted to start up with Julep Maven after I saw someones blog post on them but I never did.  However, they recently had a code where you pay only $5.00 and not the whole $19.99 for your first month.  This was too good for me to pass up since all the products in the Julep Maven box is worth up to $60 the first month and $40 every month after that.  So yes I caved in and ordered my first Julep Maven box.  I ordered on the second of November and it shipped on the fourth which was Friday.  I received my Julep Maven box today which is the seventh so I do have to say that shipping is super-fast!

Well the first step to getting your Julep Maven is that you have to take a style quiz which groups you into one of a few types of Julep Maven boxes.  I happen to an “It-Girl.”  From there you order your Julep Maven box and pick how you want it shipped.  For example if you want it shipped via USPS, UPS, and so on, they give you plenty of options but I opted for the regular First Class USPS.  It still made it to me in less than a week so I would rather just go with this option to make things easier in the future.  Each month after your first Julep Maven box they send you an email with your customized sneak peek Box.  You can either opt to “Skip the Month,” request a “New Shelf Pull,” or “Send My Box to a Girlfriend.”  However, you have to do either one of these by the 25th of each month so be careful not to forget or you’ll be charged $19.99 on the 27th of each month.

Now onto what I received for my first month of being a Maven!  I received two nail varnishes in the colors Emilie and Sienna.  Emilie just happens to be a gorgeous teal green color.  Sienna is a color I’m not so sure of.  At times it looks like a shimmery gold and at times it looks like shimmery silver.  The consistencies to the varnishes do seem to be a little bit on the wetter side but they dry rather quickly and beautifully.  I haven’t done any swatches on my finger nails but I did try them on one of toes and it looks rather nice.  I will definitely be putting up swatches of them on my finger nails after the polish on my nails right now start peeling.  In the box there was also the Julep “Facial for Hands” Glycolic Hand Scrub and two samples.  One of which is the sample size of the “Facial for Hands” and the other is a sample size of their Julep “Everyday SPF” hand cream in SPF 30.   I have not used either of which so I will be getting back to you on that whenever I end up using it.  And no I do not like to use things with actually needing to so you’re going to have to wait and I’ll talk to you guys at a later time.

Mini Jewelmint Shop and Tell

I made another order from Jewelmint this past Sunday!  Jewelmint was having a labor day sale where the first 500 buys received a second Jewelmint piece for free but sadly I wasn't one of them.  However, I still bought the pieces that I wanted so I don't really mind.

The first piece I bought is the Mumbai Bracelet.

The Second piece that I bought is the Love That Binds Bracelet.

Bobbi Brown Mini Crystal Lip Gloss

A few weeks back Bobbi Brown's Facebook fan page had their Bobbi Brown Lip Gloss Sweepstake.  10,000 of her fans were randomly chosen to receive a sample of her Crystal Lip Gloss.  I was lucky enough to be one of them!

I got an email on the 25th of July saying that I was going to receive a mini Crystal Lip Gloss.  I was totally excited for it. In the email it said it was going to take 4 to 8 weeks for me to get my lip gloss but I didn't really mind that.  Today when I went to go check the mail...there it was waiting for me.  I'm so glad I'm getting a chance to try out one of Bobbi Browns products!

One Week Old

My little man turned one week old yesterday.  I didn't think time would fly this fast but I guess it did.  I'm so happy to be holding him in my arms.  He's so cute and adorable!

Baby Leonidus nearly every cries and when he does its usually because I'm giving him a bath or changing him.  I guess his daddy just sucks at changing him or something because his dad gets peed on every time he changes him.  Which is kind of hilarious but sad because it seems like his daddy doesn't know what to do with his own son...like he has to be told what to do in order to do it or he just stands there dumb struck.  So much for fatherly instinct.

Anyways on to baby talk.  Leonidus is starting to flake.  Yes, I said flake.  At first when I say him flaking I thought I had done something wrong in order for him to look like that.  I googled it and it said somewhere that it's just his protective layer from when he was inside the womb peeling.  I felt so much better after reading that little article.  Leonidus just recently started holding up his bottles.  Not necessarily holding up but he puts up his hands under the bottle to hold it in place.  He also grabs for his pacifier whenever it's about to fall out of his mouth too which is so cute because his hands are just so tiny.  I LOVE HIM!  He is my little bundle of joy!

Facebook Exclusive ELF Haul

Yes this is another mini ELF haul.  I promise this time I didn't buy as much as I did in my previous haul...I think.  Well anyways the point is I didn't get that many things and the sale was totally worth it.

I ordered on the 16th of August and I received my package on the 20th of August. A+ for shipping but FedEx left my package at the back door when they said it was at the front door.  I was freaking out all day thinking some one took my package after checking my front door and it wasnt there.  I didnt see my package until I went to take out the garbage later that day.  Although delayed I did get my package.  =)
I will try doing a full review of all the products as soon as I use them or I may just wait until I use all of the products and do a huge review of all the products I got it this haul.

Mini Jewelmint Haul

I finally bought my first Jewelmint pieces this month and I am totally in love!  Technically the only piece that I bought is the Setting Sun necklace but I am still very proud to own a few Jewelmint pieces.

All my Jewelmint pieces came in a box like this one.  Totally cute packaging!
Like I explained in the video I bought this piece off Allyson on facebook for $35 which included shipping.  Although I did kind of get ripped off I'm just happy to have this necklace!  I was desperate so I paid a little more than its actual cost.
These are the Bella Flora earrings that I got!  They are just so gorgeous.  Neither my photos or the photos on Jewelmint give these earrings justice.  You have to own them or see them in person to see how gorgeous they really are!
Last but certainly not least are these!  They are the Rio Bravo earrings.  I wasn't sure if I wanted them but after seeing a few people on youtube rocking these I decided to try them and I totally love them!

Pregnancy Week Number 36

Week number 36 has been so tiring for me.  Hitting 36 weeks is a very big thing because when you are 36 weeks you baby is considered full term.  I'm so excited and I can't wait for him to be here.  The only thing that I haven't really been liking this week is that I get up to use the bathroom so often now.  There's only about 30 minutes to an hour between my bathroom breaks at night so I feel really tired out during the day.  That's not even with baby kicking half the night either.  I'm just so tired out nowadays...I just need a good nights rest.

The most exciting thing for me though is that I know he's almost ready.  I haven't drastically felt him drop but I can tell that he has dropped because of the size and shape of my belly.  He's gotten a lot lower compared to my earlier months so that really excites me.  I just hope he comes on a good day or weekend.  I can't wait to see and hold my little man!  =)

My Baby Shower

This past Saturday was my baby shower!  To me it was very exciting even if no one showed up.  Everyone was busy this weekend so I didn't expect much at all.  However, we did end up with a quite a few things.
 It's a rubber ducky tub...=)
Photo frames were hand painted by our sister-in-law...and the bassinet was given to us also by our sister-in-law...some of the things we got were from before the baby shower from my side of the family and some are from the actual baby shower...
Our sister-in-law also bought us a brand new car seat!  I'm totally excited because this is the exact one that I wanted too!

July Birchbox Review

Okay so this is going to be a quick overview of what I got in my July Birchbox and a review of the items that I received in that box.  I know I'm new to blogging and not that good at putting my thoughts into writing either but I'm trying!  =)

Quick overview of what I received.
1. Ahava Mineral Hand Cream
Full Size - 3.4 oz = $20
My Size - 0.58 fl.oz

2. philosophy purity made simple one-step facial cleanser
Full Size - 8 oz = $20 & 16 oz = $32
My Size - 1 fl.oz

3. Redken shine flash 02
Full Size - 4.4 oz = $17
My Size - 2.1 oz

4. Zoya Touch Collection Nail Polish in Shay
Full Size - 0.5 fl.oz = $8
My Size - 0.25 fl.oz

Extra Kind Almond & Apricot

Honestly my favorite thing from July's Birchbox was the Ahava Mineral Hand Cream!  It says that it is loaded with Dead Sea minerals and it's fast-absorbing cream heals dry hands without a smidge of residue.  I love this product because it does everything that it claims!  It smells kind of like baby powder but I think anyone can get over that smell.

Sadly my second favorite is the Extra Kind Almond & Apricot snack and it was definitely yummy!  The reason why I picked this over everything else in my July Birchbox is not because I didn't like the products that I got but mainly because the other products I got made me feel a certain way that I didn't so much like.

Third thing I did like from this box was the Zoya Touch Collection Nail Polish in Shay.  I'm not really in to nude nails but this nail polish was very nice.  The formula for this nail polish was also very great.  Took a little to dry but I think that might have been because I put on a thick coat.  =)

The Redken shine flash 02 wasn't bad either.  It definitely made my hair visibly shinier but I didn't like the after feeling of the product on my skin.  I'm not perfect so when I did spray my hair the product did get on to my skin.  I noticed that where ever the product touched my skin it felt and looked oily afterwards.  I don't know if it's just my skin but I was home all day and didn't go outside at all so I don't think the sun or sweat was a factor.

Last product is the philosophy purity made simple one-step facial cleanser.  I really wanted to like this product but sadly I totally hate it!  It claims that this perennial award-winner is pH-balanced to gently clear away dirt, oil, and makeup without drying out skin.  First thing I've got to say is that I don't know how this could be and award-winner.  This product did nothing it claimed on my skin.  It didn't GENTLY clear away dirt, oil, or makeup and it totally dried out my skin.  After using this product I felt my skin flaking but I had to wash my face with another wash to rid my face of makeup.  This product didn't remove anything, it basically just smeared the makeup all over my face.  I am totally disappointed with this product and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Pregnancy Week Number 35 + Office Visit

Okay this week nothing much happened.  It was a pretty calm week this week so I don't really have anything to say other than I had a horrible office visit today.

My appointment was at 9:15 today and we got there right around 9:12.  By the way I forgot to mention my husband took me to my appointment today.  I didn't want to go alone and a few unexpected events made him take me.  Usually I go  to my mother-in-laws and spend the night and wake up in the morning and borrow their car so I can take myself to my appointment.  However, this week my hubby's little brother popped the tire to the Corolla that I usually take and they haven't fixed that yet.  The only other drive-able car is the mini-van but after my father-in-law popped the tire to that a few months back it's been really funky and acts up a lot.  Hubby's work place was also closed for the day because something broke down last night before they got off and they still haven't been able to fix it as of yet.  So yeah...my husband took me to my office visit.

It really sucked because we sat in the lobby for almost an hour or so.  I wasn't feeling good to begin with and my husband's been kind of sick so it wasn't the best hour of my life.  After waiting for goodness knows how long they finally called my name.  They weighed me...I'm embarrassed to say but I now weigh 166.4 Lbs.  I didn't get a look at my blood pressure and stuff but yeah we ended waiting another thirty or so minutes in the backroom too.

Finally when my doctor came in she was kind of upset.  She told me some one messed up bad.  My appointment was supposed to be at 9:15 and yet there was a some one else who had a 10:45 appointment waiting in the next room.  She was kind of frustrated and apologized.  We didn't mind waiting but today it was a very long wait...longer than usual.  She did the normal listening of the heart beat and then she felt my pelvis area.  "There he is," she said and smiled.  I'm guessing she was feeling for his head.  After that she did a quick GBS swab.  It's a vaginal and rectal check for that certain bacteria.  It doesn't harm adults but during birth it can be passed to the child and cause blood infection, pneumonia, and a few other things you wouldn't want for your newborn.  If you test positive you'll get IV antibiotics during labor to reduce infection.

After that was done and over with we made our way home.  I'm still kind of tired out from the mini trip but I guess I'm going to have to use to it some more since I'm going to be going in once every week now.  So excited and I can't wait for my little man to be here!

Pregnacny Week 34

Week 34 has been so exhausting!  I'm always tired and I can barely ever get any sleep.  I don't understand why baby does what he does...but he does it.

I don't really have anything to complain about except at night when I try going to bed.  During the day baby doesn't really bother me but at night...there is just no end.  He starts his kicking, punching, and whatever else he does in there just as soon as I lay down.  I'll spend the whole day sitting, walking, or standing and it wouldn't bother him but as soon as I lay down, man he can really kick up a storm.

I usually go to bed right around 9:30 or 10:00.  It seems that just as I lay down to sleep he kicks up a storm.  He usually stays up kicking and squirming until the early mornings like 12:00 or 1:00 and then slows down.  He start up again around 6:00 or 6:30.  Which is right around the time his daddy gets up for work.  I tend to just sit it out in bed until he quits.  That usually lasts until about 9:30 to 10:00 ish and then he quits.  I try napping after he quits but the most I get out of that nap is maybe an hour or two of sleep.  By then I can't sleep anymore so I end up getting up and spend my day doing nothing important.  I'm just so tired out from him kicking so much at night and so early in the morning.  I love my baby but I definitely need some sleep.  =)

Facebook Pen Pal Kit

A few weeks back Zebra's Facebook page was having a Zebra Pen Pal promotion.  Within a few hours of the promotion they were out but  a few kits were given to those who were among either the first 1,000 people or they were randomly selected.  Fortunately I got one!  =)

I received my Pen Pal Kit today and I'm totally happy I got one!  I think I got so much I probably won't even have to buy any more pens, pencils, or highlighters for some time.

Gel Retractable 0.7 mm (2 blacks, 1 blue, 1 red)
Ball Point Pens 1.0 mm (assorted ink)
 Mechanical Pencils 0.7mm Lead
 Chisel Tip Highlighters
Post Cards & Stamps
At the bottom of the post card it says "Make a statement...in writing"

Mini Elf Haul

I finally got my ELF package today!  I've been waiting for this for over two weeks now so I was totally excited today when I got it.

I made my order on the 9th of July and waited for almost a week for it to get processed.  I got my tracking number on the 15th but it didn't actually ship until the next day.  I was tracking my package and I knew it was going to be here on the 21st but I also knew that I wasn't going to home to receive the package, which was a total bummer.

Thursday I had an office appointment so I spent Wednesday and Thursday at my mother in laws.  Friday Lao and I went to Hot Springs and we stayed there the whole weekend.  So today Lao went to the post office to grab my package but they didn't have it.  They actually stuck the package in a larger compartment of our mailbox with a key lock that we share with our neighbors.

I was so happy and excited I practically tore at the box to get to my products.  I ordered during ELF's 7for7 sale so I got a few good deals.  The first thing in my shopping cart was the 100-Piece Eye Shadow Palette Collection which just consisted of the 100 piece eye shadow palette and a few brushes.  The brushes included the blending eye brush, the smudge eye sponge, and the eye shadow brush.  The whole collection was only $7.00.  Sadly my 100-piece eye shadow palette had a broken eye shadow.  However, I got in contact with ELF right after I opened my box and they replied back to me within an hour of me writing them.  Talk about good customer service!

The second thing I put in my cart and I was totally excited about was the Travel Eye Palette Set.  It came with the 32 everyday classics palette, professional 5 piece brush collection, essential regular & waterproof mascara duo, and the essential waterproof eyeliner pen in black.  This set was also for $7.00.

Everything else that I ordered was from the essential line which are all $1.00.  I got the quad in Silver Lining, Ivy, and Blue Moon.  Then I got the eyelid primer and the all over cover stick in honey.  I also go their essential lipstick in the color charming but they were out of stock.

My free gift for referring three people was the eyeshadow quad in Ivy, so now I have two quads in Ivy.  I can't wait to try all my new products from ELF!  =)

Cosmetics from Big Lots

We were in Hot Springs on Sunday so we ended going to Big Lots!  I love Big Lots because they have a variety of things for lower prices than anywhere else.  If you have never been to one you should definitely find the closest one and go there if you love drugstore makeup products for less than what they are elsewhere.

My husband and I were only there for a little while so I didn't get to look around much or pick up much.  I saw  a few ELF products that where better deals in Big Lots then on the ELF website or Target.  However, I decided not to buy any ELF products because I already made an order from ELF a few weeks back.

The first thing I did decide to pick up was the Neutrogena MoisterShine Lipstick with SPF 20 in the color Peach-A-Boo.  I don't know how much these lipsticks go for but I got this one for $2.00.

Second thing I could not tear my eyes away from was the Wet n Wild coloricon eyeshadow trio.  I've heard so much about the Walking On Eggshells trio that when I saw it I just had to take it home with me.  There were other colors but I really wanted this one trio so I picked up this one.  The best thing is that I got it for only $2.80.

The third thing that I got was out of curiosity.  I got the Wet n Wild megalength mascara in Very Black.  This too was $2.80 and I haven't the slightest idea how much this would of cost elsewhere.

Pictures will be posted soon!

Poor Boy Livestock Auction

Saturday I went to my first ever livestock auction.  I heard many things about livestock auctions from both my mom, siblings, and my husband but I never personally had ever gone to one.  Until this past Saturday that is.

My husband and I went to my mom's house Friday evening to ready up for Saturdays trip.  We woke up early Saturday morning and made our way towards Oklahoma.  From my mother's house to the livestock it took about 3 hours.  I had never gone to a livestock auction so I was kind of excited.

We arrived at Poor Boy Livestock Auction a little early and they didn't start bidding till 10:00 AM so we took a quick look at all the animals that were being unloaded for the auction.  At the max there was only about 15 to 20 pigs and hogs put together.  There weren't that many goats either but there were a lot cattle.

After getting an idea of how many pigs and hogs there were my mom wanted to check out the little vendors at the entrance gate to see if they had any chickens.  My mom ended up buying a few roosters with a lady that came along with us.  We didn't spend too much time out by the vendors because of the scorching sun so we made our way back inside in to the auction house.

A little after 10:00 they started the bidding on pigs first.  My mom wanted only wild hogs so we waited  a little while for that.  However, due to a certain bidder who basically bought out all the pigs and hogs my mom only got 2 hogs.  One was a female and the other was male.  The bid ended with the hogs being $82.00 for just one.  My mom took them both for the same price so she ended paying $165.00 altogether on just those 2.

We ended leaving after we got the hogs loaded in to the trailer.  My mom only wanted hogs and since there were only a few my mother said she'll go in a few months when it's cooler.  Hopefully next time she goes she will actually get enough hogs for it to be worth the gas.  Although it wasn't the funnest thing I had ever done in my life...it definitely was interesting.  =)

Pregnancy Week Number 33

Week 33 wasn't bad at all.  Other than a few leg cramps here and there I didn't really feel anything new or different.  You would think that since my body is starting to relax a little I would be able to get some rest.  Nothing ever goes as planned.

This week baby has been really kicking up a storm and it's non stop kicking, tumbling, punching, just in general everything!  I sit up almost all night with only a few hours of sleep at night because he tends to wake during the night.  However, during the early morning I do get some hours of sleep because he quits kicking.  That's only until his daddy gets up for work and then baby decides to wake up too.  He always wakes up right before or right after his daddy gets up to wash up for work and then stays up until his daddy leaves.  It's seems like he's already attached to his father.

During the rest of the day he's not so active.  The only time he is active is when I've been sitting down or standing up for a long period of time.  Other than that he's pretty calm until his daddy comes back home from work.  Then he starts to kick up a storm again.  I guess he really likes his daddy.  I'm ok with that because when he's born...he's going to want his daddy in the middle of the night and not me.  =)  Just kidding.  I don't mind that he prefers his daddy though.  It's only normal for your son to want their daddy more.  I'm just happy he's going to be here soon!

Beachy Waves Without Using Any Hot Tools

This is how I use to get my hair done when I was little.  Only my sister french braided my hair for me because I didn't know how to do it.  I really liked my hair like this when I was a kid because I had really long flat hair so this gave some volume to my hair and I looked cute too.  Up until yesterday only my sisters french braided my hair for me because I obviously have some problems.  =)  However, I did french braid my hair for the first time yesterday...so I'm super proud of myself!

Anyways in order for me to achieve this look I had to dampen my hair because I have really thick and short hair.  I didn't even dampen my hair actually.  I just took a shower because it was just easier that way.  After taking a shower I dried myself off and  pat my hair until it was a little wetter than damp.  I then split my hair in half and started french braiding one side of my head.  After that I went to the other side and did the same.  I left the braids in all day and all night and when I unraveled it...my hair had waves!  I don't really style my waves but I took  two pins and just crisscrossed them to hold back my bangs so they don't bother me through out the day.
I personally don't like to use heat tools on my hair because I find that my hair is really bad with heating tools.  I've noticed that I get split ends very easily so I try very hard not to use any.  This method obviously beats crimping my hair with a crimper too so that's why I like doing this.

Mini Dress Haul From The Consignment Shop

I finally had the chance to go to our local consignment shop on Wednesday!  I've been wanting to go there since my husband and I moved into our little town but it closes early and my husband works late.  So when my husband came home at about 4:30-ish I was excited!

We got there just before the lady closed shop.  I don't know why but it seems like all stores in small towns close really early.  Closing time for the shop was 5:00 so I tried to make it quick.  I knew exactly what I wanted and walked straight over to where they were.  Being 8 months pregnant I don't feel comfortable in pants and short so I was looking for a few nice dresses that I could wear on regular basis without looking like I was going out.

The first thing that caught my eyes was this beautiful red floral patterned dress.  The dress size is a small but the fabric is stretchy which is just perfect for my growing body so there was just no way I was going to pass up this cute dress.  I'm not sure of it's brand but all it says on the back is Forever and the clear straps say Forever 21, so I'm going to assume it was a dress from Forever 21.  The best thing about this dress is that it was only $8.99.
The second dress slash top that I picked up was a plain pink dress.  Even though it's just one plain color I still really like it.  This shirt is also stretchy and came in the size large.  The best thing about this shirt is that it's an aeri shirt and I got it for only $9.99.  I can only imagine the actual price the previous owner paid for this shirt knowing how expensive clothes from aeir can be.  So I definitely got a very good bargain with this top.
This dress looks a lot cuter on than off.
The third thing that I got was a maternity dress that I didn't even notice.  The lady actually pointed out the maternity clothes to us.  It's a green polka dotted dress from Motherhood Maternity!  I couldn't believe it.  I've gone into the Motherhood Maternity at our mall and all the close there is just super expensive so when I saw this dress I just had to buy it.  It's in the size small and the fabrics not really stretchy but I guess I'm already 8 months so I think I'll be fine with the size.  The best thing is that I got the dress for only $10.99.
This dress also looks a lot cuter on than off.

Red Forever 21 Dress= $8.99
Pink aerie Top = $9.99
Green Motherhood Maternity Dress = $10.99
Tax = $2.55
Overall Total = $32.52
Overall Savings = A LOT!

Talk about major bargain!  I know exactly how expensive each and every piece of clothing would have been if I had actually bought it from the actual store so I'm pretty happy I went to the consignment shop.  I think overall I saved a lot of money by shopping at the consignment shop and I'm not ashamed of it.  I know some people may be disgusted by the thought of wearing something that some one else has already worn but to me it's just like going to a used car dealer shop.  It might not be new but it is new to me!  Sometimes it's not about where you bought it but how you feel in it!

What I Did In Forth Smith & Van Baren

Saturday my hubby and I went Fort Smith! Yay!  We don't really make the trip to Fort Smith because it's almost a 45 minute drive to and from.  Anyways we made the trip to Fort Smith and stopped by Petco, Target, and Walgreens.  They we made another trip to Van Baren on our way home to check out the Fish Room.

We went to Petco looking for pearl scales which are a kind of gold fish.  I think, I'm not exactly sure so don't quote me.  =)  Well anyways there were no pearl scales but there definitely was an animal adoption going on at Petco.  There were 8 or more dogs just waiting to be adopted and about 4 or 5 bunny rabbits.  They all looked so cute!

My husband ended up dragging me away from the dogs and towards the reptile section.  I found out something new that day also.  We saw this little lizard or whatever it was eating his own skin that was starting to peel.  Kind of weird and disgusting but at the same time some what intriguing.  I didn't know they did that.
After Petco Lao and I went to Target!  I get excited about going to Target because sadly there are only 2 Targets in Arkansas and being from where I came from that sucks!  I lived in Wisconsin prior to moving to Arkansas so I feel very lonely with only 2 Target stores in Arkansas while in Wisconsin they're everywhere.  1 Target is in Fort Smith and the other I think is in  Fayetteville.

I spent about an hour in just the cosmetics section of Target but didn't get anything.  I swear I can't buy anything if I take my husband with me!  We ended making our way through the office supplies area and then into the furniture section.  And then some way, some how we ended up in the electronics section.  I hate the electronics because my husband ends up sitting there looking at games for his PS3.  We ended up getting out of there soon after or we weren't going to make it to the Fish Room.

We made a quick stop by Walgreens for me to look at some cosmetics.  Yet again I did not buy obviously because of the husband.  However, I do have my eyes on some things from both Target and Walgreens so I'm just going to sit pretty for now.  =)

At the Fish Room my husband found 2 pearl scales.  One of them was looking a little sick and I didn't want him but man my husband is a brat!  We ended up getting both of them for $12 something.  Sadly this morning the sickly looking one died I'm assuming because I don't see him in the tank anymore.  The other pearl scale however, is getting along just fine with the Kois but I'm afraid he won't be able to feed because he's so slow while the Kois eat a lot, very fast.  I guess I'm just going to have to wait and see how everything works out.
The other one died before I took this photo.  RIP little fella!

Week Number 32!

Something new that I've felt this week would be the tingly feeling in my legs.  During the day I don't really get the feeling because I'm moving around more frequently.  However, during the night I don't get a wink of sleep!  I think by far this week is the week that I've had the smallest amount of sleep and the highest amount of headaches.

I usually go to bed around 9:00 or 10:00.  Almost as soon as I jump into bed and calm down I feel like there's something crawling on my leg.  If it's not than I get a funny tingling sensation all up and down my legs.  I end up tossing and turning or moving my legs back and forth in different position just to get rid of the feeling.  What sucks is that as soon as the feeling disappears it comes back.  The only thing that I've been able to do to somewhat rid me of the feeling is packing on a butt load of lotion on my legs and letting them dry just a little bit before bed.  Even with so much lotion on I can still feel the tingly feeling but I guess somehow the lotion soothes the tingly feeling just enough so that I can sleep.

Sadly, I don't get much rest because as soon as I start to drift away you can only guess who starts kicking up a storm.  Yes, baby always decides to wake up as I fall asleep.  Now that I really seriously can't do anything about.  I end up staying up all night until he ends up tiring out and falling asleep.  I basically only get to sleep when he want's to sleep and he's only in my belly.

As if that wasn't enough try waking up every morning feeling tired and with a headache.  It can only get better right?  WRONG!  It gets worse!  I can't do anything because if I stand for a long period of time my feet start to swell and I start feeling woozy.  I don't know what's worse...having morning sickness...or feeling all this.  But I guess you can't do much except be happy that something specials almost here!

Transformers: Dark Of The Moon 3D

Saturday night my husband and I finally had time to go watch Transformers!  I know it's been like three weeks since it came out but we've been busy and haven't had the time to go to Fort Smith lately.

We went to Carmike theaters and bought a pair of tickets for the 10:35 PM showing.  We got there around 9:30-ish so ended waiting for a little while before they let anyone start seating.  We ended up being the first two people in the room when they did start seating so we got good seats...but there weren't that many people either so it was all good.

It was an overall great movie I think with a lot of action, good storyline, and a happy ending.  The only thing that I didn't really like about the movie was that there was no point of Sam's girlfriend.  The movie basically could have gone on without her ever being in the movie.  I guess the only reason why they put her in there was to lead Sam around where ever it was that they needed him to go.  She was kind of like the link that kept Sam going in the right direction I guess you can put it.  So I guess she was of some use but I don't really think her role was really necessary.  I still had a fun time watching the movie and a fun night out with my husband.  Definitely worth the drive!

Two pair of tickets to Transformers: Dark Of The Moon in 3D = $21.00
One raspberry slush = $4.95
Total amount spent = $25.95
Spending a night out with the husband = PRICELESS
