Pregnacny Week 34

Week 34 has been so exhausting!  I'm always tired and I can barely ever get any sleep.  I don't understand why baby does what he does...but he does it.

I don't really have anything to complain about except at night when I try going to bed.  During the day baby doesn't really bother me but at night...there is just no end.  He starts his kicking, punching, and whatever else he does in there just as soon as I lay down.  I'll spend the whole day sitting, walking, or standing and it wouldn't bother him but as soon as I lay down, man he can really kick up a storm.

I usually go to bed right around 9:30 or 10:00.  It seems that just as I lay down to sleep he kicks up a storm.  He usually stays up kicking and squirming until the early mornings like 12:00 or 1:00 and then slows down.  He start up again around 6:00 or 6:30.  Which is right around the time his daddy gets up for work.  I tend to just sit it out in bed until he quits.  That usually lasts until about 9:30 to 10:00 ish and then he quits.  I try napping after he quits but the most I get out of that nap is maybe an hour or two of sleep.  By then I can't sleep anymore so I end up getting up and spend my day doing nothing important.  I'm just so tired out from him kicking so much at night and so early in the morning.  I love my baby but I definitely need some sleep.  =)

Facebook Pen Pal Kit

A few weeks back Zebra's Facebook page was having a Zebra Pen Pal promotion.  Within a few hours of the promotion they were out but  a few kits were given to those who were among either the first 1,000 people or they were randomly selected.  Fortunately I got one!  =)

I received my Pen Pal Kit today and I'm totally happy I got one!  I think I got so much I probably won't even have to buy any more pens, pencils, or highlighters for some time.

Gel Retractable 0.7 mm (2 blacks, 1 blue, 1 red)
Ball Point Pens 1.0 mm (assorted ink)
 Mechanical Pencils 0.7mm Lead
 Chisel Tip Highlighters
Post Cards & Stamps
At the bottom of the post card it says "Make a statement...in writing"

Mini Elf Haul

I finally got my ELF package today!  I've been waiting for this for over two weeks now so I was totally excited today when I got it.

I made my order on the 9th of July and waited for almost a week for it to get processed.  I got my tracking number on the 15th but it didn't actually ship until the next day.  I was tracking my package and I knew it was going to be here on the 21st but I also knew that I wasn't going to home to receive the package, which was a total bummer.

Thursday I had an office appointment so I spent Wednesday and Thursday at my mother in laws.  Friday Lao and I went to Hot Springs and we stayed there the whole weekend.  So today Lao went to the post office to grab my package but they didn't have it.  They actually stuck the package in a larger compartment of our mailbox with a key lock that we share with our neighbors.

I was so happy and excited I practically tore at the box to get to my products.  I ordered during ELF's 7for7 sale so I got a few good deals.  The first thing in my shopping cart was the 100-Piece Eye Shadow Palette Collection which just consisted of the 100 piece eye shadow palette and a few brushes.  The brushes included the blending eye brush, the smudge eye sponge, and the eye shadow brush.  The whole collection was only $7.00.  Sadly my 100-piece eye shadow palette had a broken eye shadow.  However, I got in contact with ELF right after I opened my box and they replied back to me within an hour of me writing them.  Talk about good customer service!

The second thing I put in my cart and I was totally excited about was the Travel Eye Palette Set.  It came with the 32 everyday classics palette, professional 5 piece brush collection, essential regular & waterproof mascara duo, and the essential waterproof eyeliner pen in black.  This set was also for $7.00.

Everything else that I ordered was from the essential line which are all $1.00.  I got the quad in Silver Lining, Ivy, and Blue Moon.  Then I got the eyelid primer and the all over cover stick in honey.  I also go their essential lipstick in the color charming but they were out of stock.

My free gift for referring three people was the eyeshadow quad in Ivy, so now I have two quads in Ivy.  I can't wait to try all my new products from ELF!  =)

Cosmetics from Big Lots

We were in Hot Springs on Sunday so we ended going to Big Lots!  I love Big Lots because they have a variety of things for lower prices than anywhere else.  If you have never been to one you should definitely find the closest one and go there if you love drugstore makeup products for less than what they are elsewhere.

My husband and I were only there for a little while so I didn't get to look around much or pick up much.  I saw  a few ELF products that where better deals in Big Lots then on the ELF website or Target.  However, I decided not to buy any ELF products because I already made an order from ELF a few weeks back.

The first thing I did decide to pick up was the Neutrogena MoisterShine Lipstick with SPF 20 in the color Peach-A-Boo.  I don't know how much these lipsticks go for but I got this one for $2.00.

Second thing I could not tear my eyes away from was the Wet n Wild coloricon eyeshadow trio.  I've heard so much about the Walking On Eggshells trio that when I saw it I just had to take it home with me.  There were other colors but I really wanted this one trio so I picked up this one.  The best thing is that I got it for only $2.80.

The third thing that I got was out of curiosity.  I got the Wet n Wild megalength mascara in Very Black.  This too was $2.80 and I haven't the slightest idea how much this would of cost elsewhere.

Pictures will be posted soon!

Poor Boy Livestock Auction

Saturday I went to my first ever livestock auction.  I heard many things about livestock auctions from both my mom, siblings, and my husband but I never personally had ever gone to one.  Until this past Saturday that is.

My husband and I went to my mom's house Friday evening to ready up for Saturdays trip.  We woke up early Saturday morning and made our way towards Oklahoma.  From my mother's house to the livestock it took about 3 hours.  I had never gone to a livestock auction so I was kind of excited.

We arrived at Poor Boy Livestock Auction a little early and they didn't start bidding till 10:00 AM so we took a quick look at all the animals that were being unloaded for the auction.  At the max there was only about 15 to 20 pigs and hogs put together.  There weren't that many goats either but there were a lot cattle.

After getting an idea of how many pigs and hogs there were my mom wanted to check out the little vendors at the entrance gate to see if they had any chickens.  My mom ended up buying a few roosters with a lady that came along with us.  We didn't spend too much time out by the vendors because of the scorching sun so we made our way back inside in to the auction house.

A little after 10:00 they started the bidding on pigs first.  My mom wanted only wild hogs so we waited  a little while for that.  However, due to a certain bidder who basically bought out all the pigs and hogs my mom only got 2 hogs.  One was a female and the other was male.  The bid ended with the hogs being $82.00 for just one.  My mom took them both for the same price so she ended paying $165.00 altogether on just those 2.

We ended leaving after we got the hogs loaded in to the trailer.  My mom only wanted hogs and since there were only a few my mother said she'll go in a few months when it's cooler.  Hopefully next time she goes she will actually get enough hogs for it to be worth the gas.  Although it wasn't the funnest thing I had ever done in my life...it definitely was interesting.  =)

Pregnancy Week Number 33

Week 33 wasn't bad at all.  Other than a few leg cramps here and there I didn't really feel anything new or different.  You would think that since my body is starting to relax a little I would be able to get some rest.  Nothing ever goes as planned.

This week baby has been really kicking up a storm and it's non stop kicking, tumbling, punching, just in general everything!  I sit up almost all night with only a few hours of sleep at night because he tends to wake during the night.  However, during the early morning I do get some hours of sleep because he quits kicking.  That's only until his daddy gets up for work and then baby decides to wake up too.  He always wakes up right before or right after his daddy gets up to wash up for work and then stays up until his daddy leaves.  It's seems like he's already attached to his father.

During the rest of the day he's not so active.  The only time he is active is when I've been sitting down or standing up for a long period of time.  Other than that he's pretty calm until his daddy comes back home from work.  Then he starts to kick up a storm again.  I guess he really likes his daddy.  I'm ok with that because when he's born...he's going to want his daddy in the middle of the night and not me.  =)  Just kidding.  I don't mind that he prefers his daddy though.  It's only normal for your son to want their daddy more.  I'm just happy he's going to be here soon!

Beachy Waves Without Using Any Hot Tools

This is how I use to get my hair done when I was little.  Only my sister french braided my hair for me because I didn't know how to do it.  I really liked my hair like this when I was a kid because I had really long flat hair so this gave some volume to my hair and I looked cute too.  Up until yesterday only my sisters french braided my hair for me because I obviously have some problems.  =)  However, I did french braid my hair for the first time yesterday...so I'm super proud of myself!

Anyways in order for me to achieve this look I had to dampen my hair because I have really thick and short hair.  I didn't even dampen my hair actually.  I just took a shower because it was just easier that way.  After taking a shower I dried myself off and  pat my hair until it was a little wetter than damp.  I then split my hair in half and started french braiding one side of my head.  After that I went to the other side and did the same.  I left the braids in all day and all night and when I unraveled it...my hair had waves!  I don't really style my waves but I took  two pins and just crisscrossed them to hold back my bangs so they don't bother me through out the day.
I personally don't like to use heat tools on my hair because I find that my hair is really bad with heating tools.  I've noticed that I get split ends very easily so I try very hard not to use any.  This method obviously beats crimping my hair with a crimper too so that's why I like doing this.

Mini Dress Haul From The Consignment Shop

I finally had the chance to go to our local consignment shop on Wednesday!  I've been wanting to go there since my husband and I moved into our little town but it closes early and my husband works late.  So when my husband came home at about 4:30-ish I was excited!

We got there just before the lady closed shop.  I don't know why but it seems like all stores in small towns close really early.  Closing time for the shop was 5:00 so I tried to make it quick.  I knew exactly what I wanted and walked straight over to where they were.  Being 8 months pregnant I don't feel comfortable in pants and short so I was looking for a few nice dresses that I could wear on regular basis without looking like I was going out.

The first thing that caught my eyes was this beautiful red floral patterned dress.  The dress size is a small but the fabric is stretchy which is just perfect for my growing body so there was just no way I was going to pass up this cute dress.  I'm not sure of it's brand but all it says on the back is Forever and the clear straps say Forever 21, so I'm going to assume it was a dress from Forever 21.  The best thing about this dress is that it was only $8.99.
The second dress slash top that I picked up was a plain pink dress.  Even though it's just one plain color I still really like it.  This shirt is also stretchy and came in the size large.  The best thing about this shirt is that it's an aeri shirt and I got it for only $9.99.  I can only imagine the actual price the previous owner paid for this shirt knowing how expensive clothes from aeir can be.  So I definitely got a very good bargain with this top.
This dress looks a lot cuter on than off.
The third thing that I got was a maternity dress that I didn't even notice.  The lady actually pointed out the maternity clothes to us.  It's a green polka dotted dress from Motherhood Maternity!  I couldn't believe it.  I've gone into the Motherhood Maternity at our mall and all the close there is just super expensive so when I saw this dress I just had to buy it.  It's in the size small and the fabrics not really stretchy but I guess I'm already 8 months so I think I'll be fine with the size.  The best thing is that I got the dress for only $10.99.
This dress also looks a lot cuter on than off.

Red Forever 21 Dress= $8.99
Pink aerie Top = $9.99
Green Motherhood Maternity Dress = $10.99
Tax = $2.55
Overall Total = $32.52
Overall Savings = A LOT!

Talk about major bargain!  I know exactly how expensive each and every piece of clothing would have been if I had actually bought it from the actual store so I'm pretty happy I went to the consignment shop.  I think overall I saved a lot of money by shopping at the consignment shop and I'm not ashamed of it.  I know some people may be disgusted by the thought of wearing something that some one else has already worn but to me it's just like going to a used car dealer shop.  It might not be new but it is new to me!  Sometimes it's not about where you bought it but how you feel in it!

What I Did In Forth Smith & Van Baren

Saturday my hubby and I went Fort Smith! Yay!  We don't really make the trip to Fort Smith because it's almost a 45 minute drive to and from.  Anyways we made the trip to Fort Smith and stopped by Petco, Target, and Walgreens.  They we made another trip to Van Baren on our way home to check out the Fish Room.

We went to Petco looking for pearl scales which are a kind of gold fish.  I think, I'm not exactly sure so don't quote me.  =)  Well anyways there were no pearl scales but there definitely was an animal adoption going on at Petco.  There were 8 or more dogs just waiting to be adopted and about 4 or 5 bunny rabbits.  They all looked so cute!

My husband ended up dragging me away from the dogs and towards the reptile section.  I found out something new that day also.  We saw this little lizard or whatever it was eating his own skin that was starting to peel.  Kind of weird and disgusting but at the same time some what intriguing.  I didn't know they did that.
After Petco Lao and I went to Target!  I get excited about going to Target because sadly there are only 2 Targets in Arkansas and being from where I came from that sucks!  I lived in Wisconsin prior to moving to Arkansas so I feel very lonely with only 2 Target stores in Arkansas while in Wisconsin they're everywhere.  1 Target is in Fort Smith and the other I think is in  Fayetteville.

I spent about an hour in just the cosmetics section of Target but didn't get anything.  I swear I can't buy anything if I take my husband with me!  We ended making our way through the office supplies area and then into the furniture section.  And then some way, some how we ended up in the electronics section.  I hate the electronics because my husband ends up sitting there looking at games for his PS3.  We ended up getting out of there soon after or we weren't going to make it to the Fish Room.

We made a quick stop by Walgreens for me to look at some cosmetics.  Yet again I did not buy obviously because of the husband.  However, I do have my eyes on some things from both Target and Walgreens so I'm just going to sit pretty for now.  =)

At the Fish Room my husband found 2 pearl scales.  One of them was looking a little sick and I didn't want him but man my husband is a brat!  We ended up getting both of them for $12 something.  Sadly this morning the sickly looking one died I'm assuming because I don't see him in the tank anymore.  The other pearl scale however, is getting along just fine with the Kois but I'm afraid he won't be able to feed because he's so slow while the Kois eat a lot, very fast.  I guess I'm just going to have to wait and see how everything works out.
The other one died before I took this photo.  RIP little fella!

Week Number 32!

Something new that I've felt this week would be the tingly feeling in my legs.  During the day I don't really get the feeling because I'm moving around more frequently.  However, during the night I don't get a wink of sleep!  I think by far this week is the week that I've had the smallest amount of sleep and the highest amount of headaches.

I usually go to bed around 9:00 or 10:00.  Almost as soon as I jump into bed and calm down I feel like there's something crawling on my leg.  If it's not than I get a funny tingling sensation all up and down my legs.  I end up tossing and turning or moving my legs back and forth in different position just to get rid of the feeling.  What sucks is that as soon as the feeling disappears it comes back.  The only thing that I've been able to do to somewhat rid me of the feeling is packing on a butt load of lotion on my legs and letting them dry just a little bit before bed.  Even with so much lotion on I can still feel the tingly feeling but I guess somehow the lotion soothes the tingly feeling just enough so that I can sleep.

Sadly, I don't get much rest because as soon as I start to drift away you can only guess who starts kicking up a storm.  Yes, baby always decides to wake up as I fall asleep.  Now that I really seriously can't do anything about.  I end up staying up all night until he ends up tiring out and falling asleep.  I basically only get to sleep when he want's to sleep and he's only in my belly.

As if that wasn't enough try waking up every morning feeling tired and with a headache.  It can only get better right?  WRONG!  It gets worse!  I can't do anything because if I stand for a long period of time my feet start to swell and I start feeling woozy.  I don't know what's worse...having morning sickness...or feeling all this.  But I guess you can't do much except be happy that something specials almost here!

Transformers: Dark Of The Moon 3D

Saturday night my husband and I finally had time to go watch Transformers!  I know it's been like three weeks since it came out but we've been busy and haven't had the time to go to Fort Smith lately.

We went to Carmike theaters and bought a pair of tickets for the 10:35 PM showing.  We got there around 9:30-ish so ended waiting for a little while before they let anyone start seating.  We ended up being the first two people in the room when they did start seating so we got good seats...but there weren't that many people either so it was all good.

It was an overall great movie I think with a lot of action, good storyline, and a happy ending.  The only thing that I didn't really like about the movie was that there was no point of Sam's girlfriend.  The movie basically could have gone on without her ever being in the movie.  I guess the only reason why they put her in there was to lead Sam around where ever it was that they needed him to go.  She was kind of like the link that kept Sam going in the right direction I guess you can put it.  So I guess she was of some use but I don't really think her role was really necessary.  I still had a fun time watching the movie and a fun night out with my husband.  Definitely worth the drive!

Two pair of tickets to Transformers: Dark Of The Moon in 3D = $21.00
One raspberry slush = $4.95
Total amount spent = $25.95
Spending a night out with the husband = PRICELESS

Week 31 + Office Visit

Week 31 wasn't that bad.  It was kind of relaxing actually because I only had one leg cramp this whole week.  I didn't really feel nauseous at all either except yesterday when I went to my office visit.  Other than that I really don't have anything to complain about.  =)  However, baby has been so active lately.  I see him moving across my belly on a regular basis now and he's getting to be so big.  I can nearly breath now because he's putting so much pressure on my diaphragm.  He's also so big that I get full really quick and end up getting hungry really often.  I eat little meals 5 to 6 times a day now because I always end up feeling full and then hungry a little while later.  I LOVE MY LITTLE MAN!

I had to drive myself to my office visit yesterday by myself.  My husband didn't take off because he didn't work Monday which was July 4th and he didn't want to miss work Thursday so I had to go by myself.  Our Sentra is a  manual and I can't drive manual so we borrowed his mothers Corolla which his brother had an accident with a few months back.  Since my husbands brother has been driving it around we thought it was fine.  Man were we forever wrong!

From 0 to 50 mph it's pretty much fine but from 55 to 60 mph the steering wheel starts shaking.  I had to take the highway to get to Fort Smith so you can only imagine how bad it was and it was not a fun ride.  I couldn't even get up to 70 mph without the whole car shaking.  I mean it literally the whole car was shaking.  The steering wheel shook so bad my arms were basically jumping around in the air.  The passenger seat was bouncing back and forth, the front windshield looked like it was about to shatter, and I swear at one point I heard metal clanking somewhere.  It was just insane!

When I finally got to the clinic I was so happy to be out of the car and somewhere safe!  I signed in at the counter at about 9:50 and I had to wait a little bit longer than an hour.  I had a slight sugar rush crash when I got there but it didn't last long and it wasn't that intense, but I'm pretty sure it was just the car ride that made me sick.  The computer systems for the clinic was down for a little bit but they got it back up in no time.  My office visit was quick and I was out of there within ten minutes after they took my weight and blood pressure.

The car ride home wasn't any smoother then the car ride to Fort Smith.  It was actually worse!  It was around 11:30  when I got on the highway meaning there were more vehicles including semis.  It wasn't a pretty ride home but at the very least I made it back.  I don't want to borrow that car ever again.  However, if worse comes to worse...I don't think I'm going to have a choice.  =(

What I Bought This Weekend

This weekend my husband and I went to my moms house.  Every time we go to my moms house we always end up going to Hot Springs for something.  Well my brother told us that Petco was having their $10 per gallon sale and that he got his 55 gallon.  I think they have the this sale once a year but I'm not sure because they don't ever put it up on the internet or advertise the sale just in general.  My husband was so excited that he jumped at the chance to go to Hot Springs.

Last year my husband got a 20 gallon for $20.00 plus tax.  He originally wanted a 40 gallon but last year they ran out of stock before we even got there.  But that was the Petco in Fort Smith.  However, this year we just ended up being in Hot Springs during their sale so we dropped by.  Yes, we finally bought him his 40 gallon and obviously if he gets a 40 gallon he's going to "need" his 40 gallon stand.  His stand was $59.99 and the original price on the 40 gallon was $109.99.  Our final total for just the 40 gallon and the stand was $113.59.  We saved about $70 buying his tank during this sale which I'm so glad they have every year.  I would hate to pay full price and I probably would never pay full price if I had to.  But I'm glad he got his 40 gallon cause now he doesn't bug me about it anymore.

As soon as my husband got home Monday night he set up the tank and the stand.  Our Kois are a little spooked still but I think it's just because they aren't use to the big tank yet.  I'm pretty sure once they get use to their new tank they'll be back to normal trying to get me to feed them every second of every day.

I finally got my new camera this weekend too.  I've been wanting this camera since I saw it come out a few years back and I never got the chance to buy it because it was always out of stock.  This weekend we went to Wal-Mart in Hot Spring on Albert Pike and there it was.  The original price was $89.00 but it was on sale for $79.00.  I was so happy!  I got my Samsung TL205!  It has 12.2 megapixels, 1.5" front LCD, smart auto, and 3x optical zoom.  The box said that the camera was supposed to be silver but when I opened it...it was black.  This was the last one they had so I didn't want to return it and I prefer black cameras because they're more neutral so I didn't mind it at all.  My husband was happy I was happy because I've been bugging him about this camera for ages now and we finally got it!  This weekend I think is the best ever.  We both got what we've been wanting for the longest time!

July Fourth Weekend

Friday evening when my husband got back he asked to go camping.  I was like WHAT????  He ended telling me that a few of his work buddies were gonna go camping and he wanted to go.  Don't ask me how or why but I always end up giving up arguing with him because it's just so pointless.

We ended making a trip to Wal-Mart to go get some essential camping gear.  The most important thing...a tent.  We don't own one because we moved out of my husbands parent's house not too long ago and haven't had the time to go camping or anything so we ended up buying a 10 x 8 tent that can fit up to six people or two queen sized beds.  I wanted to get a smaller one but the Wal-Mart in Ozark is pretty small so that was the only size they carried and so that's the size we bought.  I think it was almost sixty dollars but I'm not sure.  It's easy to set up and easy to take down so it was definitely worth the money.
 Our sixty dollar tent.
The river at about 8:00 PM.

Robert(blue shorts), Curtis(cowboy hat), Billy and Lao

We bought some other essentials like food, drinks, watermelon, snacks, and of course SMORES!  Camping isn't camping if there aren't any smores so we got ourselves some graham crackers, Hershey's chocolate, and marshmallows!  I was telling my husband that I knew his friends were going to forget to bring food, drinks, and of course toilet paper.  Funny thing was...I was completely right.  The only thing they did bring was some "drinks" a tent, and a mini grill.  We still had an awesome night but I didn't get much sleep.  My husbands work buddies stayed up most of the night talking, drinking, and for some weird reason swimming in the middle of the night slash early morning.
I took this picture of the river in the morning. Very pretty scenery.
SMORES and hot dog my husband made for me...YUMMY!
husband decided to go cheap and buy bread instead of normal hot dog buns..
this creepy crawly was wandering around our cars...almost stepped on it

As soon as my husbands work buddies went to bed the sky was starting to light up so my husband decided to go fishing while I slept in.  I only slept an hour or two longer before I ended getting hungry and getting up.  When I got up my husband was just starting to come back from giving up on fishing.  He made me a  couple of hot dogs and some smores and I was happy.

We ended coming home around one or two in the afternoon to take a shower and hit the road to my moms house.  My mom made egg rolls!  For some reason she had some really weird looking wraps that I've never seen her use before.  She said the Asian store she went to had no regular egg roll wrappers so she bought the only kind that they had.  It was very doughy and thick like the ones you see at Asian restaurants but ten times better tasting.  I love my moms cooking!  I baked a strawberry flavored cake and covered it with whipped cream and added little pink and yellow sprinkles all around.  I didn't get to take a photo of it but it was tasty!
 Yummy Egg Rolls!
Nothing beats a ripe, red, juicy, sweet watermelon!
Sunday my husband and I filled up two buckets consisting of water balloons.  My brothers and my husband had a water balloon fight which was kind of interesting.  I laughed the whole time they were playing.  They had teams and free for all games.  Monday we didn't do much though.  My husband had to leave me at my moms house so I could go work out some stuff with our insurance company while he went home so he could work the next day.

Week 30

Week number 30 I think was the worst week by far for all my previous weeks of pregnancy.  During this week I've been getting sugar highs really easily and my legs have been cramping like crazy at night.  Which I hate both!

At first the leg cramps came only once or twice during the night.  As the week progressed I seemed to get more leg cramps at night.  It got to the point where I ate a butt load of bananas just to avoid getting cramps.  Which is okay too because I love bananas in general but I didn't like eating bananas for my cramps.  However, the bananas did help.  I don't get leg cramps as often at night anymore since I started eating bananas but I'm trying not to eat too many either because too much potassium can cause cramps too.

My sugar highs are driving me crazy!  It doesn't take much for me to get one and I can't do much to stop it once it starts other then take a Tylenol.  I feel so nauseous and my head feels like its about to explode and I can feel my tummy turning.  And if that's not enough baby's kicking, squirming, and somersaults make me even more nauseous.  It's really the worse feeling ever.  I just hope I don't feel this way driving to my next appointment.  That will be bad.
