LBB March 2013

My little black bag came in this past weekend! I was going to put it up but I didn't feel good enough to post as I just got my wisdom teeth pulled. But anyways here it is. A wee bit late.
 THE CONTENTS OF MY BAG!
The item I picked out was the Pink Cosmo Studded Cross Body. I've been on the search for a decent sized cross body and this one kind of fit what I was looking for. If you know Little Black Bag they had a Nica London cross body bag that I totally wanted but could not get my hands on last year and so when I saw this bag I kind of just settled for it.
I then got two surprise items which I was not a fan of at all. One was a pair of earrings that I just didn't like and then they gave me a bracelet which wasn't my style. The bracelet they gave me retailed at $34 so I ended up trading down for the Danielle Nicole Davina Mini Cross Body in blue which retailed for I think $24 or so.

As for the pair of earrings which retailed for $18 I traded down for a candle. I ended up trading that up for the pair of earrings that I received which are the Lydell NYC Oval Stone Drop Earrings. I think they aren't too cheap looking and are very cute and dainty enough for me to wear them with any outfit.
Overall I am in love with everything I received in this box. Trading this month was just awesome so I guess that's why I ended up getting all the items I really wanted. If you don't know what Little Black Bag is I will link it. There are plenty of youtube videos explaining how to use Little Black Bag so I'm not even going to go there. Hope you all enjoyed my little black bag haul and I'll post you guys later.

NOTD - Under The Sea

Hey you guys I was watching little mermaid the other day and it inspired me to do my nails. I ended up just fading my nails with a blue and adding numerous random sea creatures. As shown I painted star fishes, oysters, and seashells. For my accent nail I painted it a dark blue and then added a few different color glitters to make it look more sparkly. I then drew on the scales and then added a few pearls and rhinestones on all my nails.
Hope you guys enjoyed this post and I will see you guys later.

Dell ALIENWARE

My husband is a big fan of ALIENWARE so he ended up picking up this model which I have no idea which one it is off of Dell's website a few weeks ago. So far my husband is in love with it because he won't stop telling me how much he likes his new computer. If you know Dell they are kind of expensive but if you know Dell's line of ALIENWARE then you really know expensive. We purchased this model with my brother in law's Dell employee discount and it still came out to be about $800 sum. I have not really used his desktop because I'm always on my laptop but as long as my husbands enjoying it I think I'll just leave it at that.
The ALIENWARE desktop came with the tower, screen, mouse, and keyboard.

March Ipsy 2013

I received my March Ipsy bag yesterday but didn't have time to post on here so here it is.
I like this months theme for the bags. Super cute design! The theme of this months bag is "THE GREAT ESCAPE".
ALL THE GOODIES!
La Fresh makeup remover wipes which I'm not a fan of wipes. I tend to not use this method on my eyes even if it is the quickest way to remove makeup. I'd rather not have premature wrinkles and take my time removing my makeup.
Juice Beauty hydrating mist. My sister in law used this after she received it and she said it burned. I'm kind of hesitant to try this so if you've already used this and it didn't burn you please do tell me.
GLAMRX magnetic palette. When I saw the preview for this I thought it was going to be big but it's really small and fit in the palm of my hand.
Yaby eyeshadows in azalea petal which is the darker eyeshadow and seashell which is the lighter of the two colors.
Pictured above is just to give you  a size comparison of the shadows and the size of the magnetic palette. As you can see the palette is pretty small and so are the eyeshadows. The two bigger eyeshadows are the sizes of MAC shadows so that should give you a pretty good comparison of how big or small everything is. I'm still pretty impressed with everything especially when I only paid $10 for all of this.

PLNDR Haul

I told you guys I would be hauling just as soon as my orders came in. Guess what??? They came in!!!
The first pair of shoes I purchased were the Gravis Silver Mink Chelsea Boot in size 8.5. They fit perfectly and true to size. The inside of the shoe is a lavender color which I think is just so cute and feminine. These can flatter anyone's feet and outfit. The most versatile pair of shoes ever.
I then picked up another pair of black heels as PLNDR was having a BOGO so I ended up getting the same pair of heels for my sister in a different size obviously.
I thought these were just the cutest booties ever and could probably go with any outfit. The only downside to these is that the bottom aren't completely flat so you have to be careful when walking around because you can totally slip and fall.
I also purchased a pair of lace leggings but didn't take a photo. Their just leggings so I don't think anyone really wants to see that. If don't know what PLNDR is and want to find out I'll link them HERE!

Girls Night Out At Red Lobster

This past weekend my sister in law, niece, mom, and myself went to Red Lobster for our GIRLS NIGHT OUT. I had a blast even though it didn't last that long but yes I still enjoyed myself. Just wanted to post a few quick photos from our girls night out. Enjoy!
The drink to the LEFT was my sister in laws drink. If I'm correct I think it was the Sunset Passion Colada. On the RIGHT is my drink which was the Berry Mango Daiquiri. Both of them were super yummy and the alcohol wasn't overpowering. My sister in laws second drink which was the Bahama Mama however, was a different story. Whoever had made it...obviously put too much liquor in the drink because that was all I could taste. As you can see pictured below all the alcohol is on the bottom of the cup. All the mix drinks were about $6 something each which I think isn't too bad of a price.
I ordered the Bar Harbor Lobster Bake which was $25 or so. I then ordered the Lobster Lovers Dream for my mother. I remember the price because I don't think for the price that you pay for this dish is exactly worth it which was $29.99. I didn't notice this until now but when my mother's plate came it only had one lobster tail which it obviously states in the description that it's supposed to have "A succulent rock lobster tail and sweet split Maine lobster tail, roasted and served with lobster and shrimp linguini Alfredo." Obviously it didn't as you can see in the photo.

My niece had the same dish as I did and she didn't get any lobster tails in her dish at all. We asked the waitress and she said there wasn't supposed to be any lobster in the dish but obviously looking at the Red Lobster menu on their website, there was supposed to be lobster tails. I'm kind of upset that our waitress really didn't have any idea of what was supposed to be on the plate and what wasn't. I'm kind of regretting giving her a tip at this point and regrettably I can't take it back.
Anyways on on happier note I ordered the trio dessert sampler. Which included their Key Lime Pie, triple chocolate brownie, and caramel cheesecake. All three for $9. I love key lime pie so that was my favorite part. It was a little more sour than most key lime pies that I've had in the past but it was still yummy in my tummy. The chocolate brownie came with a scoop of ice cream which was super good if you dipped the warm brownie into the cold ice cream and ate them together. The caramel cheesecake tasted just like any other kind of cheesecake so I wasn't too impressed. None the less, I did have a great time even though Red Lobster totally ripped us off of our money.

Hope you guys enjoyed this quick post!

Urban Decay Haul Feb. 2013

I finally got my Urban Decay order in today! I've been waiting for this all week so I was super happy it came in and I can finally start dipping into my new items. Quick Note: I will be posting my plndr haul as soon as I receive my last order so stay tuned for that. NOW...ON TO THE HAUL!!!!

Obviously you always get a sample of the Urban Decay Primer Potion. Which I'm not exactly a big fan of but it does the job. Under the sample is just my invoice/return label.

As you can see straight of the bat that the packaging is super duper cute with the purple tissue and in silver letters it says "beauty with an edge" all over. I will probably be keeping the tissue to use for something else though because I like to reuse packaging.

AND THE REVEAL
I just purchased a few of the ON SALE items from the Urban Decay website minus the super saturated high gloss lip color. I WILL NOT HAVE SWATCHES UP AS THIS IS JUST A HAUL.
The super saturated high gloss lip color in LOVECHILD is a nice barbie pink color. I don't know how I feel about this because I did try it and it seems kind of sheer. I don't know but I'm pretty sure it's just because my lips are really pigmented so the color seems sheer. The good thing is that it is buildable and doesn't look caked on after building it up. It doesn't settle into the wrinkles of your lips either so I think this item is actually really nice.

I picked up the Ammo palette by Urban Decay too. I originally wanted to pick up just the eyeshadow color in mildew and since mildew was already in this palette I picked up the palette and left the single eyeshadow color. The Ammo palette includes the eyeshadows in smog, mildew, oil slick, last call, chopper, maui wowie, shattered, polyester bride, grifter, and sin. This palette is very nice in my mind that it has neutral colors and a few pops of color.
I also picked up the Mariposa palette just so I could have it. I've been eyeing this palette ever since I originally saw it a few months back so I finally purchased it. Like the Ammo palette it has a nice array of colors. After receiving the palettes I actually like the Mariposa palette a little bit more just because it has eyeshadow for both a neutral eye look and dramatic smokey eye with a few pops of color. The eyeshadows included in this palette are rockstar, gunmetal, skimp, infamous, wreckage, haight, money, mushroom, spotlight, and limelight.

That is all I purchased from Urban Decay! I hope you guys enjoyed this post and I'll blog you guys later!

February Julep Maven Box

Okay so I got my box in yesterday but haven't had a chance to open it so I finally did it today. I guess this months box was supposed to be getting us ready for the summer so without further ado here is the reveal.
Packaging is super adorable like always! It almost looked Easter...eee...
The first item that wasn't wrapped up with the polishes was this lip balm in strawberry-mint??? I have the question marks because I don't smell the mint at all. The lip balm is very moisturizing as I tried it on my lips as soon as I took a photo of it. It does smell very artificial and fake so that was a fail for me. I hate anything that smells or tastes artificial.
As you can see I got Shenae which is a pearly/opalescent pale baby blue, Teri which is a pinky coral, and Simone which is a purple tone pink that has a pearly/opalescent finish. I haven't tried them or swatched them yet but hopefully this month I'll actually get around to doing my nails. Thanks for staying tuned and I'll blog you guys later!

DOTW-DinnerOfTheWeek

My husband and I decided to cook a nice simple meal for the family last night just for the heck of it since we barely ever do anything with my family. I know what you see is probably something you've probably never even tasted or seen but most South Eastern Asians have probably eaten this at one point in their life.

If you have ever eaten at a traditional Asian home you would know that there's always going to be some kind of form of rice. Pictured to the <---LEFT<--- is sticky rice which I SUPER DUPER LOVE. Majority of the time though my family and I actually eat regular rice like Jasmine rice or short grained rice that gets imported into the US. I'm just not a domestic rice eater. It just don't taste good at all once you've tasted the good stuff and I've tasted the good stuff all my life.

We also made Laab which is a Laotion slash Thai dish this consists of mainly beef. Then thrown in is some parsley, mint, green onions, yellow onion, chilli peppers, and a few other veggies that are super yummy. Pictured to the --->RIGHT--->

Most people like to eat this dish by using the sticky rice to pick up some of the Laab and eating it. Laab and sticky rice is a finger food so don't be shy to put some in your plate and eat with your CLEAN fingers.

My husband also made some Tum Yum soup which was also super delicious. I'm not going to list what was it because honestly I don't know. I've never really been a Tum Yum soup person so I never learned how to make it but I loved my husbands version of the dish. It was very spicy. Tum Yum soup is basically a spicy and sour soup. If you've never seen or heard of this it is the picture to the <---LEFT<---. Everything was super yummy and I hope you all enjoyed this post. I'll see guys later.

Benefit Watt's Up! VS Wet N Wild Walking On Eggshells

I know that highlighting is something that not everyone does on a regular basis. However, I know that purchasing a decent highlighter can be a little expensive so that is why I found a nice little dupe for the infamous Watt's Up by Benefit. I received this as a birthday gift from Sephora last month and I've been loving it and even considered repurchasing it. When I was applying this it kind of reminded me of the eyelid color from the Wet N Wild Walking on Eggshells 3 pan palette. Thus I decided to swatch them to see how similar they were and they are pretty similar. I'm not saying for you to go out and buy this palette but I just wanted to share my thoughts on this. Not everyone has the same skin tone so this may or may not work for you but it should apply the same for the majority of skin colors.

Obviously from the photo of the swatches you can tell they are pretty similar. The top swatch is the Watt's Up! by Benefit and the bottom swatch is the eyelid color from the Wet N Wild palette. I did have to build up the Wet N Wild color just a little bit but none the less it's a pretty decent dupe. Like I said I am only giving my opinion and if you like the Benefit Watt's Up highlighter definitely check out the Wet N Wild palette if your searching for a more affordable highlighter that has the same color of the Benefit Watt's Up, plus two other eye colors.

Hope you guys enjoyed this quick post and I'll be seeing you guys later!
